We loved that we didn't have to wear masks or even have our temp taken...just walked right in, like the good old days! We gambled quite awhile on our money before we lost it. Only issue we had is they are very limited on choices of games/machines they have there. Buffet was a disaster...very few employees, wait time to get a table was beyond crazy even though only 2 couples were in front of us. People at the register were standing there trying to pay for at least 20 minutes. The couple in front of us, and us left and went to Denny's. Actually, they don't even have a buffet there now..so if you are going to Cliff Castle for the buffet...don't bother.

Coming back from family trip to train ride with Santa.
Coming back from family trip to train ride with Santa.
Stayed at the Lodge. Overnight.
Parking very poorly lit.
Room was old, and very shabby looking.
Strong musty odor.
Changed rooms, because there was some one in the room.
Next one was even worse.
Lock on door was so weak.
Adult daughter was to afraid to be left alone.
(This to say some rooms faced out to parking area.)
This was before New hotel was built.
But haven't been back, Lodge was soooo bad.
Just left a bad taste in my mouth.

We booked on booking.com. First, we were unaware that the Lodge was different from the "Cliff Castle Casino." So when we booked the price was 89.00 a night, which was great. As we were checking in, we were made aware that there was a difference and she continued to upgrade to the Cliff Castle Casino instead of the Lodge. I asked if the same price would be honored, and she responded, "yes". When checking out, the price was totally different. She never made notes to the price being honored.
