Hotels near Shifen Waterfall, Shuangxi

Dosun Airbnb is centrally located in Jiu Fen Old Street, great for exploring the streets when it's quieter in the morning and evening. Also perfect for popping back to the bnb to freshen up time to time. Extremely clean and AC is strong, bed is comfy. I particularly enjoy waking up to cool weather, the morning fog, and enjoying a homemade sandwich and soya bean drink by the lovely family.

We loved this place and everything about it. The host is lovely—she gave us many recommendations, ensured we knew what trains to take for our outings, gave us small gifts and goodies, offered to help us get laundry washed, and provided flexibility with check in and check out. All this she did with patience and a smile, even though we could not speak Mandarin and had to rely on translation apps. The location is excellent—walking distance to several buses and trains to nearby Jiufen, Shifen Waterfall, Bitoujiao, Keelung, and other great spots. The room itself is quiet, comfortable, and spacious with great lighting. It seems very clean and modern, with nothing out of date and everything functioning perfectly. It is well-appointed and nicely laid out. Guests have access to water, a refrigerator, a tea kettle, coffee, and fast/consistent WiFi. The toiletries and soaps were luxury, and we took note of the shower gel in particular so we can buy it to take home. This place is exceptional value, easy to book and find, and offered us complete privacy and autonomy. The host provided great communication from our initial booking until we said goodbye. Overall we give this hotel our highest recommendation—it was our favorite hotel of the 4 we stayed in on our visit throughout the island. The next time we come to the Taipei area, we will stay here.

Can't expect much for that price. It was a fair deal.

It was much better than I expected. Everything was perfect. I really enjoyed staying there. it’s near bus station just five minutes walk to train station.

Location was close to the old street but not so close that would have beeen noisy. Staff was kind and respectful.

Comfortable and clean. Very lovely accommodations.The caretaker was very helpful with all of our questions using translator.
