It's a pleasant enough walk down from Tamsin, but most of the shops are similar to those to be found in most big cities in Europe. The historic tram is a fun ride if you want to skip the walk. Alternatively, take a detour into the Galatasaray "Fish Market" for a more local view, or into the street full of bars to the right at the Tünel end of the street.

Great place for people-watching, with 2 million people a day traipsing up and down it. Be sure and explore some of the side alleys. And if you can get in at a time when the Korean tourists are otherwise busy, try the Kaymak at Ozsut Muhallebicisi down near the Tunel station; more than a little fattening bjut oh so good!

One of the most busy streets in Istanbul, there is shopping, there is food, there is nightlife. Wallets and phones in your front pocket for sure. Shops stay open till ten pm and food till late night. Nightlife was fun there were alot of local pubs.
Hotel is very good. Room, staff, breakfast, everything is very good. Hotel is five meters from Sishane metro station. You can use metro from Istanbul Airport to Gayrettepe station. After that, use another metro from Gayrettepe to Sishane. No need for taxi. It takes 15 minutes to get to Karakoy tram station (Galata bridge). From there, you can go to Sultanahmet. Galata tower and Istiklal street is not far away (5 minutes walking).
Great location , walking distance to Gelata Tower , Istiklal street & Taksim Square.
Metro only 400 yards from Hotel door.

The property is at a very central location, just a few steps from Galata Tower, and the busy Istiklal street. The room was very big, very clean, and had everything you need for your stay. The staff, were very helpful, attentive and made us feel like home from the moment we stepped in the hotel! Special thanks to Murat and Ismail for caring to all our needs.
Very clean place, we booked a 4 bedroom apartment and were surprised there were also 4 bathrooms.
The location is phenomenal, near Galata Tower, Istiklal Street and Taksim Square. There was a pharmacy right there, lots of stores, restaurants just walking distance. The host was very, very kind, helped us with everything. Will definitely return when visiting Istanbul.
Would also recommend it to parents with children, the streets nearby were manageable with strollers.
A very clean and beautiful hotel. I felt like I was at home. The staff were incredibly helpful at any time and with any issue. The location can be described as the center of Istanbul; you can reach Istiklal Street and Taksim in just a 2-minute walk. With the nearby hotels and the police station, you're staying in a safe neighborhood. I will definitely come back again.

The hotel is located on a quiet street opposite the Italian consulate. Not far from the Galata Tower and Istiklal Street. Hotel TomTom is located in a historic restored building. The renovation was done recently. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfasts at the hotel are very varied and very tasty. This is now my favorite hotel in Istanbul.
