I chose this hotel due to the proximity to the peir and the diving school i did my padi.
It's on a great location and the staff will assist you with anything you need.
The room was sufficient for my needs which was to sleep as I was learning to dive. It consists of a bed with separate bathroom and nothing else. There is a shared fridge and a water dispenser behind the reception. There is no TV or safe in the room but reception can lock valuables up foeb you. The bar area looks over the beach which is nice and they don't not serve breakfast. There is a great restaurant next door that serves all day breakfast.

Rooms was clean on arrival and cleaners offered clean rooms everyday. Staff were all rlly nice and the manager was really helpful. Pool was great and walk into town was 10 minutes down the road.

This was my favourite place....you snorkel straight off the beach...restaurants and bars chilled and layed back, able to get a massage on the beach. There is a massive rock you can climb and jump off! We spend a number of our days on this beach and was the favourite of all areas!!

The location is really nice, on the opposite side from the pier, main streets. Very quiet at night and surrounded by nature.
Tanote Bay is one of the best snorkeling spots in Koh Tao so thats a plus too.
Free transport to the pier twice a day.
The breakfast was good and the size of the rooms big enough.
Is our second time staying at this place! Is so clean and I love the pool. I appreciate that is not directly in the center so you can relax. You do need a scooter to move around. Tanote bay is only 5 minutes by scooter so is nice. Also there’s no mini market close by, so we kept food on the mini fridge they provided for us and it was perfect! Nice for couples that rent scooters
Really lovely hotel with amazing views from balcony. Stunning swimming pool. Great location to explore island with moped, 5 min ride from Tanote Bay. Staff also very helpful with recommendations + borrowing of snorkeling equipment. 180 Baht Aperol Spritz at happy hour is hard to beat.
Probably the best location on the Tanote bay. Excellent entry to the water and beautiful corals. Quite good food in their restaurant (but not all the options). Lovely people working there. Very quiet at night. Good aircon. Great view from the room. The room was very spacious and excellent for 3 persons.
What an amazing spot, Tanote Bay is so special. I visited Tanote Bay 2 years ago and on my return to Koh Tao, was ecstatic to see that more accommodation had opened up at Tanote Bay. Montalay is an amazing resort with very friendly and helpful staff.
Nice property, rooms by the pool were worth the extra price… pools were nice to have a dip as it was hot hot… friendly staff especially Pim who helped out with everything quickly and with a smile, can get scooters at the hotel which you really need if you want to go see a few places around the island without spending cash on the super-pricey taxis… Tanote bay is beautiful and I love to swim so it was amazing to swim out far and see the fish and the scuba divers doing their thing without the busy ness of the boats around….
The hotel is located a short walk away from Tanote Bay which had the best snorkelling we seen on the island after trying several other spots. Rooms were nice and we had a lovely view.
Fabulous views. Great location overlooking Tanote Bay. Lovely swimming pools. Lovely balcony to sit out on with a beer. Good value drinks in the mini bar. Complimentary taxi runs a couple of times a day. I didn’t need to use this as I had hired a scooter. Plenty of parking.
Everything! Amazing views, proximity to Tanote Bay and wonderful snorkeling. Room was spacious, clean and very well designed, with a fabulous balcony. Staff were super helpful and kind.
