Great location, easy to reach by car. Parking for a small fee with reservation required. From here it's easy to explore on foot the local area with great restaurants, brewery and cafes reachable in a few minutes. The room we stayed in was larger than the impression given from the photos. Really liked the sword and shield on the wall and antique paintings. Nice lighting as well. Great view. Nice garden. Comfy, spacious bed. Powerful hot shower. Receptionist was very helpful and organised. Very reasonably priced. Would stay there again.

Beautiful, clean and comfortable. The spa had everything we needed and was pleasantly decorated. Garage was perfect for this location as it is challenging to find parking spaces in the city.

LOVED THE PLACE. Very charming, in a beautiful town, with a great view of the town castle. The Staff was very helpful and welcoming, the room was very confortable. I also had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent. If i had the chance i would totally stay again in this place.

This hotel is unique and exceptional. There is no reason not to stay here. Communication with the hotel was excellent, and our welcome was warm and friendly.
The hotel is totally unique, and an old building where every corner has interesting features and furniture. The long walk up the wooden stairs is wonderful.
The room was light, warm, comfortable, and huge. The bed was very comfortable and views over the city. Location is also perfect. There is nothing I would change, I just recommend this place

Currently it is under construction, however not closed. The castle is probably the most famous among those owned by the Hungarian family 'Koháry', which once had the third biggest landholding in the Habsburg Monarchy. For a period, the family even gave the Portuguese King and the Bulgarian emperor.
As a hiker, I give myself only little times to visit such places, so I didn't go inside. The castle represents the calendar (i.e. it has 4 entrances, 12 chimneys, 52 rooms and 365 windows), it is full of hunting trophies and the garden around it is the host of the National St. Hubertus Day (the day of hunters) of Slovakia.
