Fantastic to visit early in the day before the crowds get there. A lovely cafe for coffee up there too. The Puppet Museum was fantastic to visit and there was instant theatre happening around the place. I had a lovely time here and spent a good couple of hours investigating everything there was to see here.

Take the funicular to the castle, but don't pay for anything...
Take the funicular to the castle, but don't pay for anything more than the view. You won't get to see the chapel, a small history museum, the dungeon, or the viewing tower; but combined these aren't worth the extra price. Note that the Ljubluana Transport Card can be used for both the funicular and admission.

Wonderful.
Wonderful. Very impressed by how the city has integrated modernity into the old castle without making it over commercial, with a lot of thought for access. Lovely cafe. Views are great, I love a funicular and for those who require it, there is the electric train which will also bypass the steps from the funicular exit into the castle

The castle was taken up by the old Funicular or otherwise you can take a long walk up. A truly beautiful view from the top and there is like temporary exhibitions and cafe and castle history in which we didn't see. Take approx up to 2 hour for the journey up.
The room view was fantastic! The dragon bridge and the Ljubljana castle was the view from our window. The location was very accessible to all nearby attractions.
Great location - 5min from grocery stores, bus station. About 10min to Ljubljana castle, oldtown.
Delicious espresso and a decent breakfast selection, friendly staff. My room was although quite "used", but clean, comfortable bed. Hotel provides shower gel, soap and shampoo.
The apartment is in a perfect location to enjoy old town Ljubljana. Steps from the door are your choice of cafes and shops, Central Market, Ljubljana Castle, Preseren Square, Triple Bridge and so much more. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. If we have the opportunity to visit Slovenia again, we will definitely seek this apartment again.

The location was excellent, within the historic center of town. We had a view of the Ljubljana castle from our room.
Greggor also helped make a taxi pick up from hotel to airport.
The room was large and well furnished with a refrigerator and microwave.
We had one night to spend before departing from the train station (which is an 8 minute walk from NEU Residence.) It was a perfect place for us to stay -- modern, clean, well-equipped. We had a small studio apartment. The concierge was very helpful when we had a bit of trouble figuring out the electronic entry system. And -- a small bonus -- the room had a view of Ljubljana castle! Our only regret was not staying longer.
This hotel's location cannot be beat. It is in the city center of Ljubljana and a short walk from excellent restaurants, Ljubljana Castle, and the Ljubljanica River. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and the breakfast offers a wide range of options. Overall, this was an excellent experience for my first visit to Slovenia. If I am lucky enough to visit Slovenia again, I fully intend to stay here again.
Super convenient location in the old town, approx. 20 minute walk from the train/bus station (sidewalks were asphalt and smooth paved cobblestones so not too challenging if you have a rolling suitcase and want to walk). There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby and Ljubljana castle is a quick (10-minute) uphill walk from the hotel. Note that there is no elevator in the hotel as it is an old building, but the reception was very helpful in carrying heavier bags up to the room. Rooms were very quiet.
The owner Gregor always responded any questions with a lot of detail in very timely manner. Ljubljana castle can be seen from the window and location is best, just few steps from rail and bus station! If I will be visiting Ljubljana and need a place to stay, I surely will stay at this apartment! Very very highly recommended!
Everything! Location/steps from the center of all activities. Ljubljana Castle is only a few hundred meters away. The staff and associated restaurant was great and the apartment spacious, spotless with all amenities!! Highly recommended for couple or family.
