This is a somewhat classic hotel, close to the center of Kalmar, with easily accessible city center and Slott. The rooms are comfy and the breakfast is excellent, and the restaurant provides a pleasant environment.
Located only 5 minutes’ walk from Kalmar Central Station, Best Western Plus Kalmarsund Hotell offers rooms with a flat-screen satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. Kalmar Castle is a 15-minute walk away.
The location was perfect; only 10 minutes walk to the beach and Kalmar Castle. The property had a nice pool. There was a lot of space in the apartment and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, including a washing machine and drying. The hosts were nice. There was plenty of free parking across the street.
Get location near Kalmar Castle. Friendly and helpful staff we were invited to an annual party in the courtyard. They even brew their our beer, a tasty Pilsner call Top Dog.
Good place to stay either overnight (like we did) or a bit longer stay. Located in very quiet part of Kalmar, just a short walk distance from beach and Kalmar castle. Apartments equipped with all basic things you need for longer stay, only thing to be aware that you may have your apartments (I think there are couple of options but we got basement one) in the basement floor, so no big windows or garden view from there :)
The breakfast was great, lots of room to sit and good selection of breakfast foods. There is also a pub in the hotel and the food was great. The hotel is in a great location. There is a church in the square and a lot of shopping in the area. A great place to walk around. 5 min drive to Kalmar Castle.
Cute older hotel in a great location to walk to old town Kalmar, Kalmar Castle, and other sights. Delicious breakfast and tasty free dinner as well (although dinner is not served every night of the week). Quiet hotel with large room and comfortable beds. Pretty garden and nice patio to sit outside.
The location was just down the street from the Kalmar Castle, the main building was elegant and they served a light supper of soups and breads when we arrived, all free, Then the breakfast was very good with a large variety of foods and actually had bacon and eggs and pancakes!
