I would recommend staying in the center especially in cold weather. Many touristic places are within walking distance (Even if you don't want to walk, public transportation is free in Belgrade) There are many food, drink and shopping options in the center.
When you stay in the center, it is a nice experience to go to Knez Mihailova whenever you want.
It was nice to listen to the songs of people coming out of the taverns on the weekend. It was even a great experience to listen to the orchestra that a man rented for his girlfriend. Many accommodations in the center have a bit of a noise problem.
There was no disturbing situation in terms of security in the area where the hotel is located and in the hotel.
We would like to come back when we need accommodation.
