Something unusual. The oldest waterdriven elevator in the world. My tip is it gets busy early so get up early and be ready about 15 minutes before it opens at 7am in the morning... Short ride but if an unusual antique elevator ride is of interest to you then well work it..

This is literally steps away from the hotel’s entrance. There are always lines to go up, but the view is worth the wait. No line to go down. Or you can walk across the bridge at the top and explore the wonderful neighborhood above the hotel.

The elevator is AMAZING to see, but it was closed the entire time we were there. You can easily access the upper levels from Cormo Convent and get a great view of the entire thing from the Baixa, but since I didn't get to actually use the lift I can't rate the experience of what it was like.

If you have ever been a Jules Verne reader in your childhood, the Santa Justa Elevator is an absolute must to visit. The elevator was built in 1901 and is complete gothic iron structure: 'Modernité de Belle Epoque".

Don't wait in the line, to travel with it, it is not a big...
Don't wait in the line, to travel with it, it is not a big deal, you can go up on the stairs and around one set of houses in 6-8 minutes. The view from the top of it is amazing however. It is not for the ones who are afraid of the depths, as you have to climb up on stairs that stand virtually in the air.
