Location is fantastic for visiting the castle, and the views from the top room with private balcony were amazing!?The staff are very friendly, and helpful. The breakfast is fresh and delicious! This was our second visit, and would return if we were in the area.

Everything went very well. This is one of the most comfortable hotels in Marvão. The location and staff are both excellent. I recommend booking a room with a view of the valley — you will never forget that view!

Great room in a lovely old building that genuinely was built as a palace. Good location for a stroll into the town centre. Off street free parking in the grounds of the hotel was much appreciated. Wonderful breakfast!

Marvao Castle is in one sense quite primitive - do not forget that it was built approx 875-900 AD as a defence against the emirs of Cordoba. In another sense, it is one of the greatest castles I have ever seen...
