This is a very unique property with an open-air atrium with a small guest pool and sitting. Very nicely furnished. The breakfast at a nearby restaurant was exceptional. There are lots of shops and restaurants down the hill from the hotel. The hotel is right next to a historical stone gate to the upper part of the city and the castle. It’s about 20 minutes from the coast. We took a boat tour through the caves, which was awesome.

Colorful rooms at the top of a steep staircase. We liked the sweet little patio nestled among the taller buildings which was a perfect spot for our picnic- nice and cool. We enjoyed the complementary wine and filtered water. Rooms were spacious, well appointed, uniquely furnished and memorable. Breakfast was served in the restaurant below and was a big plate of yogurt, granola, and fruit and then an omelette with some veggies on the side. Fresh squeezed orange juice all served by a friendly expat who also helped us store our bicycles in an adjacent shop.

I liked the style and charm of accommodations. I also liked the rooftop patio with 270° views of the town. It was also walking distance to a large parking lot, restaurants, and the castle as well as a short drive to a grocery store. It was only about a 25-minute drive to Benagil and Ferragudo.
