A very convenient place to stay for a few days in Lisbon. The hotel's location is brilliant, it is overall a nice and safe area, with lots of bars, restaurants, shops etc., next door to Museu Calouste Gulbenkian and with a bus and metro stop just a few minutes away. Convenient transport from/to the city centre, the airport, as well as the bus/train station at Sete Rios. Rooms are spacious, cleaned on daily basis, and the entire hotel is very, very quiet. Nice breakfast and lovely lobby bar. What was however the cherry on top of the cake was the staff - everybody was very approachable, friendly, and helpful. All in all, it was a great experience to stay in Hotel Principe Avila.

I was especially was enamored by the unique offering to refill your previously purchased perfume bottles from Burberry, Chanel, Dior, Armani etc. An environment and financial win!

Amongst Designer shops has an array of cinema screens. Films in Portugal are NOT dubbed so you can watch an original English speaking film if you wish. Lots of eateries and a supermarket with high quality produce. Highly recommended it.

The room had a good size and was cute. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was a bit limited, but we loved having delicious Portuguese desserts (like the famous Pasteis de Nata). Close to transportation - metro (the direct line from the airport), buses, even city sightseeing bus stops. Nice quiet area, close to a park and arts center. There is also an El Corte Ingles mall close by for shopping and dining, plus various dining locations within walking distance.
