Do not go to the Bio Bay expecting CGI-esque flaming waters. If you do, you will be wildly disappointed. But if you go on an moonless night expecting fairies and how-does-nature-do-that, you will be rewarded.

There is no bad way to experience the Bio Bay!
There is no bad way to experience the Bio Bay! It is beautiful whether you boat or kayak. The guides are experts in the bay and ecosystem of Vieques. It was one of the most magical experiences of my life.

Great location for walking in Esperanza. Able to easily walk to the bioluminescent bay tour, restaurants, and beach. Also the absolute best hosts! They treated us like family and made sure we had the best stay possible and best experience exploring Vieques. The tent was very comfortable and roomy. We much much preferred this stay to the hostel we stayed in San Juan. This was our favorite stay while visiting Puerto Rico.
Eco friendly, great location, morning coffee, great view, friendly staff, great attached restaurant, need to book a ferry out to the island (a little difficult and confusing to navigate from San Juan to the Ceiba ferry and a taxi service once on the island-but very worth the hassle!!! Perfect location in the Esperanza - 2 minutes walk to the restaurants, 20 minutes walk to the best Vieques Sun Bay Beach, 7 minutes walk to pickup point for all Bioluminescent Bay excursions. The new owner made a lot of upgrades around the property that made out stay very pleasant. Our colorfull room was super clean with new bedding and very comfortable bed. I recommend to stay here.
