After seeing it on the postcards it is exactly the same up...
After seeing it on the postcards it is exactly the same up close and it's really easy to get. Even though they ask that everybody be respectful and allow everyone to get their photos, there was no time when other people being there impacted my being able to take my photos. It's in the water so can't really be blocked from view.

The room was preheated before my arrival which was fab. The room had a fridge which was a pleasant surprise. Excellent price for Wanaka. Pleasant staff, and absolutely amazing location. Five minute walk from the town centre and the Wanaka Tree!
Wanaka is a beautiful town and very suitable for vacation. Stonehouse is quite near the Wānaka
Tree and Mr&Mrs Johnstone are absolutely warm and friendly and helpful!
The location of the key is only a minute away from the property. There are heaps of rooms on the property, so everyone has their own space/privacy. Walking distance to the lakefronts, restaurants, supermarket and the Wānaka Tree. We have great time during our stay.
The staff were fabulous in helping out with phone calls and advice for activities. George went above and beyond helping us with our Milford Sound plane excursion. Room was great although I could hear footsteps above us at times. Loved the kitchen and washer/dryer in the room. And, walking on the lake path was very nice - you can leave right from your room to see the Wanaka tree which is just a few minutes down the pathway.
