Review of Hilton Lake Taupo
My four-night stay at Hilton Lake Taupo was disappointing and fell far below Hilton’s usual standards. Here’s why:
1. Poor Service: Room cleaning and basic services were almost impossible to request. For a Hilton property, this lack of attention was shocking.
2. Overpriced: The service quality didn’t justify the premium pricing—definitely not worth the cost.
3. Privacy Issues: Ground-floor rooms lack privacy, with large windows facing walkways.
4. Location: Far from Lake Taupo, making it inconvenient for lakeside activities.
Overall, an underwhelming experience that doesn’t align with Hilton’s reputation. Look elsewhere for better value and service.

Huka Jets was incredible.
Huka Jets was incredible. Ricky was an amazing driver of the boat. The 360 turns were ace, and the knowledge Ricky expressed was impressive. would 100% recommend. way better than the one at Glenorchy, QT. The team in the shop were also very lovely. we all got free t-shirts with my top10 membership and there were 6 of us. The eldest of our party was 77 and she loved it.

Do this - it is a must .
Do this - it is a must . My tip would be sit in the back row to have a great view as you spin 360’. Was so much fun. Enjoy being close to the falls. Our driver took photos on our mobiles with the falls. Spectacular- but buy the photo video combo as a memento
