Worth going up and having small lunch or just coffee at the top. Do Floy railway first as that is good too. Quite a hike up the hill from tram station to base of cable car but worth it. Not much parking nearby. There is private bus from city but we did not use.

Excellent idea to go up early and beat the cruise ship tour groups. when the cloud clears the views are terrific. we had some low cloud that made our walk through the toll forest so much more enchanting.

It took us a few days because of the queues of people, to be...
It took us a few days because of the queues of people, to be able to access the Ulriken Cable Car. We thought it was only As tourist we stay mostly on the old part of town where the characteristic architecture of a sea harbour and large storage buildings remain...but from here you see a modern Bergen, and how constructed it is besides the part of the town which is next to the harbour. Very interesting to compare and admire.

The view from our room was nice. The curtains are thick (which is a plus this far in the north during summer months). Bed was comfortable. And the reason why we picked it is proximity to the mount Ulriken cable car and free parking which was all there. The staff was also very pleasant.
