My friend and I had a wonderful evening and comfortable night. The breakfast was delicious with huge choice. The place was beyond stunning. Would love to make a return visit.

Second time at this hotel and hopefully not the last. Love the historic atmosphere and views. Stayed in an alp suite which was beautifully decorated with lots of seating space and very quiet. Great hikes direct from hotel including to a fabulous waterfall.
Overlooking Lake Øvre Sjodalsvatnet, Bessheim Fjellstue offers an in-house restaurant and accommodation with mountain views and private bathrooms. The Gjende Boat departs 5.5 km away.

Outstanding oasis in the middle of beautiful scenery. Sadly we only got to spend one night there. Excellent 3 course meal. Comfornatble and brilliantly located for the views and walking in the parkland area.
