Our favorite hotel in Norway. Unbeatable value for money especially considering the location, the view and especially the exceptional quality of the staff. I would especially like to thank Jannina for her help which allowed us to reach the hotel in difficult conditions and late at night. Everything about this hotel is absolutely fantastic. The staff were lovely and very helpful, catering to my dietary requirements making me feel safe and spoilt for choice with gluten free options at the buffet breakfast and dinner. We specifically came for the pools which we throughly enjoyed, staying open late and enjoying swimming on the roof in the rain! Complimentary slippers were a surprise and very helpful bonus.

It's an older hotel but grand; and an amazing location. I had one of the rooms with a view and I couldn't believe how beautiful the view was. The lobby was such a nice place to sit and have a tea or drink in and watch the cars and buses go by the hairpin turns. Watching the sun go down on the fjord was spectacular. The walk down and back to the village gave you fabulous views of the hotel looking back on my way down, and getting closer on my way back up. It's like an old Victorian (but don't think it's that old) kind of hotel; with a formal dining room which had a delicious dinner.
