Everything about this hotel is exceptional. The attention to detail in terms of the decor and every aspect of customer service is like nothing I have experienced anywhere in the world. The moment you walk into the hotel, you feel at home and the staff make you feel instantly welcomed. The food served in the hotel restaurant is outstanding - its almost difficult to leave the hotel to explore the city, however it is so easy to do this as the hotel is perfectly located for exploring the waterfront and the city centre.
Located by the UNESCO-listed Bryggen Wharf District, this hotel offers accommodation in central Bergen. The famous Fish Market and the Fløibanen funicular railway are both 10 minutes' walk away.

This is our second time here. The welcome was very friendly again. The staff are helpful and English speaking.
The breakfast had an excellent choice and beautifully presented

We didn't get to see inside Haakon's Hall or the Rosenkrantz...
We didn't get to see inside Haakon's Hall or the Rosenkrantz Tower because they shut at 4pm and we'd spent too long at the adjacent Military Museum, which doesn't lose till 5pm. They should level up the times.

Hakkon's Hall is actually a Ceremonial place which can only be rented by companies which have had business in Bergen for more than 100 years. It is also a place where official ceremonies take place. It is a very nice place to visit in order to imagine the spaces at the time of the Viking era. There were beautiful contemporaries tapestries inspired by viking motifs on show. The background music also inspired by old viking songs was very suggestive, and gave a nice touch to the spartiate rooms in view.
