The facilities are excellent. Everything is new, very clean. The breakfast is excellent and the location is great.

Breathtakingly beautiful view of the Tyrifjord from our room. We were very glad to have paid extra for a lake view with a balcony - that made our stay extra special, and I was able to get some incredible photos of the Tyrifjord at sunset.
The room was lovely. Generously sized, with a fantastic bathroom, and a fridge. Very comfortable bed, with good space either side of the bed, and bedside tables with lamps.
The staff were really helpful. Online ordering worked great - we ordered a pizza, a burger, and some beers, and got a text to say our order was ready to collect from reception. Prices for food and drinks at the hotel were reasonable for Norway. The coffee was excellent too.
Vikersund is the closest train station to the Krøderbanen heritage railway, which we came to visit for the twilight train and a steam gala. The Krøderbanen is totally worth a visit for heritage railway enthusiasts - it's the longest standard gauge heritage railway in Norway, and the location is beautiful with wonderful scenery - and some gorgeous locomotives and rolling stock.
Peacefully situated by the Drammen Fjord, this hotel offers a good night sleep and a dinner buffet. Drammen Station is just a 5-minute walk away.
