If you'd like to stay inside of a piece of history - with antiques around you and a vibe that brings you back over a few hundred years...well then this is place for you. The photos don't do justice - the place is quite a bit nicer in reality. This is a small boutique hotel so service is personable and it feels almost like you're staying at someone's house.
The breakfast is super - it gives you a very good introduction to nyonya/baba (Peranakan) breakfasts...and honestly I'd find it hard to find similar on the streets of Malacca (probably cause I don't know where).
The staff are very helpful and friendly.
The location is fantastic if you want to be in the heart of Malacca town and near the various historic sights/museums.

Overall, highly recommended - fantastic value!
Atmosphere: The host at the reception was exceptionally welcoming and genuinely helpful. We felt very comfortable and safe.
Parking: It is right in front of the hotel. Enter from Lorong Masjid, it's paid but your can validate the card you used for payment at the reception and get the 8RN flat fee.
Room: spacious, very clean, very quiet, good water pressure in the shower, beds are very comfortable, air conditioner and wifi work well, no problems at all - very good experience
Location: a short walk from Jonker Street night market (and all its amazing foodstalls), restaurants, all the main attractions and the riverside - it is a great base to explore the city

em... kinda packed and you need to do booking earlier before going for some eatery and outlets like Mamee if you want to send your kids for the workshop. cos it has only 3 sessions per day and to me its not really value for money as the cost of it per ticket and maybe they need to add more freebies into the goodie bag with the high price ticket! other than that... if u plan to visit the pasar malam or night market make sure u go on the friday and saturday... other days it's not open. *** i am not sure about sunday. have fun!

It is a nice hostel in a good location in Malacca. Very close to Jonker street and the main tourist area but far enough away to be a quiet place to stay. The private room was a good size with a comfortable bed and a balcony. Good a/c and hot water as well.
the apartment was so good and clean..the location also very good bc, it's not far from the jonker street ..and it's was so amazing and brilliant ..and I'll come back again wt my family on Jan 2025 ...

The apartment complex is not far from jonker street, perhaps a 6 ringgit taxi ride. Actually downstairs there are many decent restaurants nearby. The apartment was ok and looked basically like it does in the pictures. There was a large swimming pool which looked like kind that would be good if you were travelling with kids.
Room and main hall is well maintained. Staff service is good and friendly. Location is pretty near to Jonker Street, about 10min walk. It also has its own sheltered car park, which is a plus point. A few Hotel nearer to Jonker Street only provide open space parking.
We were very happy to have chosen the Casa del Rio. The hotel’s location is excellent. Near Jonker Street.The rooms are very comfortable. We definitely will want to go back to Casa del Rio on our next trip to Malacca. but very difficult to make a reservation. Thank you very much!
Location: A few minutes of walking distance from the famous San Shu Gong and most of the attractions.
Breakfast: Not too many choices but good enough to provide energy for you to walk the whole of Jonker Street.

The hotel is a heritage spot by itself. It has a collection of many historical displays and antique stuff. It also houses a small museum exhibiting the brief history of Malacca. Go explore it.
I really enjoyed our one night stay in Heeren Inn! The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. He showed us a map and told us about different places we could go to try good food. The room was cosy and inviting, and had the necessary amenities provided! The place itself is a short walk to Jonker Street and the river making it super convenient. Breakfast was provided buffet style, and there was a good and yummy selection for how affordable the hotel is. Thanks a lot! Will definitely be back if we visit Malacca again!
