Beautiful square but hugely disappointing that there is not...
Beautiful square but hugely disappointing that there is not a proper Memorial in the birthplace and former home of Mother Teresa within the Square. The original house was destroyed in the earthquake in 1963 so a small insignificant plaque has been laid in the location.
A substandard memorial house has been built down the road in some back alley.
A really poor tribute to one of the most significant people of the 20th century especially considering that the city is fully adorned with all sorts of ostentatious statues and monuments.

Large square with a statue of Alexander the Great. The square is very spacious despite the fact that there are many monuments. The atmosphere acts calmly and pleasantly. The Bridge of Art is truly a work of art with statues of important personalities of this culture. We also recommend visiting the old bazaar. There is a problem to park, but you can use paid parking where there are always some places. The services are very good and the prices are low. (Upraveno)Obnovit originál

The apartment is within wslking distance to Macedonia Square and Old Town. Very convenient.
Nitro Inn is splendid apartment close to the main Macedonia square. We found all facilities for us, kitchen with all kitchenettes and living room with streaming services, karaoke system and dolby surround.
The host is living close and helps if you need assistance.
We enjoyed the open paintings gallery and small winery where you could try authentic Macedonian wines.

The hotel is located in the perfect location. The exit from the building will land on the Macedonia Square and easily accessible to most of the points. Perfectly situated. So moreover it is an apartohotel than a proper hotel setup.
The breakfast was down below in their own lounge bar, excellently designed internally.

I stayed at Alpi hostel for 2 nights. Location is 20 sec to Macedonia Square where all monuments are ie near stone bridge. and its 22 min walk from Skopje Bus station.

We chose Hotel Macedonia Square as it looked like affordable luxury, located in central Skopje and that's exactly what it was. The staff couldn't do enough to help us, the rooms were plush and comfortable (the showers were amazing) and it was perfectly located just off the main city square. We were a group of 7 (2x double rooms and 3x single) and we all really enjoyed our stay. I didn't opt for the breakfast whilst we were there, but one of our party did and really enjoyed the selection. I would 100% stay here again.
The host was generous enough to meet us at almost 2am even though our flight got delayed. We got a warm welcome, and the apartment is very clean and comfortable. The area is very nice with lots of good bars, restaurants and corner shops nearby. We were within walking distance of macedonia square, the old bazaar, and other noteworthy places in Skopje. I would love to stay here again on my next visit to Skopje.
