The place is located almost out of the city, but the center is like 10 min by car. You can easily reach the national park from here. There is a small outdoor space for bbq. The fence could be fixed because there are some holes.

Absolute gem - a little hideaway in the mountains, an escape from heat and crazy tourist areas. Host was lovely and very attentive, prepared snacks and was very sweet in general.

There is very beautiful nature around, close to the beautiful city of Cetinje. Even in the rain, we managed to spend a very pleasant evening with friends.

We rode the chairlift up from Kotor.
We rode the chairlift up from Kotor. The hiking at the top was really just walking down an old two-track. We did manage to go off piste and get any incredible view of the coast. The restaurant at the top of the chairlift was packed, expensive and not worth it. The traffic to get back into Kotor was crazy . It took over an hour to go 10 km.

Way to Lovcen National Park starts right from the main city...
Way to Lovcen National Park starts right from the main city Centre of Cetinje and takes around 40 km of walking one way so if you are planning to do it by foot start early as the Musoleum closes after 6PM which offers a panoramic view of the entire Montenegro. The walk though is Pretty straight and involves minimum hiking. The only little hike is when you start going to the Musoleum. There is lots of scenic views all the way once you will cross the entrance barrier where you might have to pay a 3 Euros entry fee but sometimes they just let you by if you are not in car. I didn’t pay anything as I was walking. There is no shop or cafe once you cross the barrier until you reach the parking so carry your supplies to eat and drink accordingly. Highly recommended going there though if you are a nature lover and for some amazing panoramic views of the Montenegro from up top😎

Must go. Mountain Lovcen is the sanctuary of Montenegrins.
Must go. Mountain Lovcen is the sanctuary of Montenegrins. The almost holy place (not in religious sense as much as in the national) where the most famous ruler and poet of Montenegro has its mausoleum. There are more than 400 steps to climb up to come to the top of the mountain but the view is well worth the effort. Even on a hot summer day, you will not get too tired as most steps go through the well-ventilated tunnel. You will definitelly enjoy the view. You can have a lunch at the national restaurant on the way back. Enjoy Lovcen.
