The authenticity. Very spacious room. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. The tea plantation tour was amazing. Thank you to Rimus! He was very knowledgeable. A small tip for the tea tour, take some chocolate or sweets with you as the ladies picking the tea leaves wanted some and we didn’t have any on us.

Supper friendly staff made really made us it’s our home.
Specially so flexible for meal times etc unlike many other hotel restrict the guests for last meal, breakfast time etc.

The moment we walked into the cabana we fell in love with it. It was cozy, comfy and very clean. All required amenities existed. The caretaker Raghu was very helpful and friendly. He even provided us transport with his sophisticated and safe tuk tuk. The owners are very nice people, getting in touch and providing all necessary information and also reaching out to see if you had a comfortable stay. The view from the cabana was stunning and it was very peaceful out there. Loved chilling on the balcony reading while enjoying the view. Saw lots of monkeys and birds too.

The hotel was clean and located in a great spot, very close to the starting point for hiking Adam’s Peak. The only downside was the lack of mosquito repellents in the rooms, so we were bitten during the night.
I loved the location as the surrounding tea plants and lake are really beautiful with a great view of the mountain. I felt really well taken care of staying here and we were given a lift to Adam’s Peak at 2:30am to start the hike by the family running the hotel.

We had dinner in Elephant hotel nearby and it was lovely.
Extremely friendly and hospitable owners. The room was clean and spacious with a nice view over the hills. Great location for hiking Adam’s peak and the breakfast served once you return from the hike was filling and delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The staff, Manu in particular, are fantastic. Manu took care of us the whole time making sure we had lots of tips for our Adam’s Peak hike, that the room was ok and that we were taken care of for dinner and breakfast. He’s fantastic! The hotel is a little simple, but very reasonably priced and just what we were looking for.
Had a really pleasent stay. The location of the hotel was perfect for us as we went to Adam’s Peak at 2 am. The room was nice and clean and had blanket (which was the first time for me in Sri Lanka). When we came back from the mountain, then hotel served us very delicious breakfast. Really loved staying there.
This was one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka. The location was perfect for climbing Adam’s peak and Ruwan was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable and has good views of the mountains. We were cooked two delicious home cooked Sri Lankan meals whilst we were there. We could not recommend water side residence more if you are climbing adams peak.
This cute hotel is perfectly located at the start point of the Adam’s peak hike. After you started your hike around 2/3 am in the morning, the very friendly hotel staff great you after coming back with a great and yummy breakfast. You can take a shower and leave for your next destination. We would also like to highlight the very very good food (we had dinner on the day we arrived at the hotel)! One of the best we already had in Sri Lanka!
The room was clean and spacious and the location quite good to start the hiking to Adam’s peak. If you go there by bus you can ask the driver to stop in front of the hotel because it’s exactly on the bus route, not far from the main bus station. If you want to enjoy the landscape ask for a room upstairs, otherwise you will be overlooking a not nice spot.
