The whole layout of the ryokan was magnificent. We really enjoyed our room at No 11 as its interior was simply divine. The tatami mattress with the thick fluffy comforter gave us a good night of rest. It’s wonderful to be able to soak in the onsen whenever we would like to do so. What’s even greater is the dual mirror and hand wash sink. No need to wait for each other. Little details like hooks for towels and bath robes were carefully thought through. The patio to look out gave us time to reflect and take in the ambience.
As for the premise, we liked the fire place as it kept us warm in the cold weather. The zen gravel garden was equally attractive.
The staff were very well trained. We particularly liked interacting with Chat (from Sri Lankan) who checked us in /out and gave us our room tour as well as MJ (from the Philippines) who drove us to and fro Miyanoura Port. There was also the female staff who served us our dinner whose name we didn’t get as we were so fascinated by each and every dish. We thanked her for making our dinner experience as memorable.

The location by the sea was lovely but unfortunately we weren't able to swim due to the presence of jellyfish. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was its beach location, so it was disappointing not to swim. The buses to the rest of the town stop right in front of the property which was convenient, although the buses do not run often enough.
