Everything. Very clean, well laid out and comfortable. Breakfast served in our room was a treat. The little extras were very thoughtful. The separated bathing and beauty area and the huge bedroom area was exceptional by Japanese standards.

Hotel Granvia was a convenient, short walk from Wakayama Station. The staff was very polite. The room was clean & spacious, the pillows & bed were comfortable. The breakfast spread was wide & sumptuous. Just next to the MIO shopping centre & Toyota Car rental. I would stay there again if I'm in Wakayama. Highly recommended.
The location is good. The hotel is near JR Wakayama Station (3-5 minutes walk), department stores and so forth. The hotel keeps the luggage for its guests to the next check-in.
About 15 mins walk from Wakayama station and there's a bus stop around can take you to the station or a famous shrine in Wakayama area. The staff was nice and friendly. There is a public bathhouse that has been open for a long time within a minute's walk. It is also highly recommended to relax in the public bathhouse at night!
An amazing gem of a hotel! Room is very clean, comes with a free snack and water. The ambience of the onsen was very calming. Provides free ice-creams, probiotic drinks, ramen supper and massage chair - all free! Wakayama station is about 400m away.
The hotel was located right next to Wakayama station and the staff were extremely helpful. I was even allowed to check in an hour early at no extra cost. The price for the hotel was also much cheaper than other Hotel Granvias.
When it comes to food, the breakfast buffet was very high quality with a lot of options and we were even given a free plate of curry every evening.
- Conveniently located, just 3 mins walk from Wakayama station
- there’s an onsen at the hotel which is a nice surprise, it really helped washing away our fatigue from the travel
- the buffet breakfast at the hotel is quite nice
- room is very clean
Near the hotel, although a word of advice would be to go out from the central gate of Wakayama Station, turn right and take the elevator down to rhetorical basement, go through the underpass and take the lift up on the east side to get to the hotel. Serves a good breakfast. Rooms were big and beds were very comfortable!
It takes 5 min to walk from Wakayama station to this hotel. It is very convenicent. And they are many restaurants around the hotel. Room is not so large, but enough space. Breakfast is gorgeus and many options. All staffs are very kind and friendly.
The hotel is right across from the Wakayama Castle. The view of the castle from our room and the breakfast room was excellent. The hotel practiced strict hygiene rules at breakfast, the quality of which was very good.
Although it looks like JR Wakayamashi Station is nearer to the hotel on the map, it is much more convenient and direct to get off at JR Wakayama Station. The taxi ride to the hotel from there is 1,000 Yen.
