Free drinks (water, coffee, ice, soda, etc) from a fountain dispenser is really a benefit to stay this hotel. It saves times and money to find and get water and ice during the extremely warm weather.
Staff members are friendly and tried to communicate smoothly using translation device when necessary.
There is a spacious bath in the room. A bath tub in the room seems small but deep enough accommodating a tall adult. And, various amenities are provided (including bath salt) which is very useful.
Location-wise, close to the shopping areas and train/subway station and bus stops (including airport limousine) and very convenient to travel around.
Breakfast menu is not a variety but has all the essentials.

Fabulous view over the castle park. The hotel is between the JR station and Port. Ideal for visiting the islands. Buses for Ritsurin garden leave from outside the front door and the centre of town is an easy 10 minute walk.

The code for the lock box containing the keys on the door is sent to you on the day of check in, and the process was easy. This room is cleaner, more modern, and more spacious than hotel rooms at a very affordable price. Also had a washing machine which I used well. Good location, Ritsurin Garden is easily accessible by train. Would highly recommend.
The size of the room alone made us want to stay longer. We couldn't believe this was only a 2-star hotel. The breakfast buffet was great. Staff were nice. Handy location close to Ritsurin Garden.

Classy hotel right next to the ferry for Naoshima island and also next to the JR Station. Walking distance to Ritsurin Garden and the Castle is across the street- location is hard to beat. Top notch service from a very attentive team. We did not eat at the hotel.
A lovely hotel in a quiet residential area situated roughly halfway between Takamatsu city centre & Ritsurin garden. The staff at the time of our check in had limited english but made up for it with friendliness & an infectious enthusiasm. Our room was very clean and large, the beds were big & comfortable & the bunk bed area was well received. Our room had a kitchenette with a small fridge-freezer & the bathroom had a new washing machine.
I had a good time at WeBase Takamatsu. I had a single room, and apart from the slightly too small bathroom and the lack of a view, everything was fine and clean. There was even a capsule machine for espresso. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English. There was a large lounge where you could get a free small rice dish (I've forgotten the name) in the evening. The hotel is well located, not far from a shopping mall and between Takamatsu Castle and Ritsurin Garden. I can definitely recommend the accommodation.
