The room was very spacious and comfortable. Even though it was snowing the entirety of our stay, the beds were very warm and kept us cozy during the night. The location was also amazing, with a general store across the road and a few fantastic restaurants within short walking distance. The staff were very friendly.

Beautiful location, great to unwind and relax for few days. Delicious food, after dinner we even get presented with late night snack and cold drink. Staff fully professional and extremely nice. Room is great if you want to feel like in traditional ryokan, especaily private onsen and kotatsu were awasome. We recommend to stay at least for 2 days in order to really feel the place. It was hands down best place we visited during our 3 week in Japan.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay in Miyama Ouan last December. The outdoor onsen and the hot spring bath in our room were the highlights. Taking a bath while watching snowfall is really an unforgettable experience. We also enjoyed each breakfast and dinner menu. They offer free yakult, sake, alcohol and ramen at certain times. They also offer pick-up and drop off service to the bus station which was very convenient as it was snowing quite a bit when we were there.

I like that they have a private hot onsen which can be used any time as long as can be tolerated, while one is checked in. There is also a public onsen which can be booked ahead of time. The half board set-up is also good so that one does not have to worry about where to have a meal after a long day of traveling/touring. Best of all, the owner/s are hands-on. Customer service is wonderful.
