Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Like living in cozy room at a friend's home. Car can be parked at adjacent packing lot for free. Room is reasonably sized with private bathroom. You can use microwave etc at the common area. A Family Mart right across the road. A good location for trip to Koyasan.

Greeted and oriented by a delightful German novice who was fluent in English. Very comfortable futon, lovely room and beautiful temple, nice coffee machine, gourmet Japanese meals for dinner and breakfast. Fire ceremony was an astounding experience. The cemetery was a very short walk away.

Above and beyond any expectations we had: if you want to travelling on a budget but still want to stay in the beautiful Koyasan, Hachi Hachi is the place for you. We have been travelling through Japan for few weeks now, and this has been the best night of sleep I had on a Ryokan Japanese bed style. The room is huge, fantastic view of the mountains around, perfect spot where I worked from early morning from my laptop, high tech room, great quality breakfast, all you need for the best stay in Koyasan!
