The room was great, very clean and very comfortable bed and linen. Quite spacious and nice amenities. Cheapest yet most comfortable room we have stayed in.
The hotel manager was incredible, really appreciated the shuttle trip to the station at the end of our stay. Great service.

The hostess of the place was amazing!
She also gave us a lovely traditional tea ceremony.
Property is in a great location near the Tobu-Nikko station, close to a shopping center and close to the Bus and Taxi ranks. I got a double room which turned out to be a small apartment.
Older hotel managed by friendly elderly couple. Room was spacious, bigger than average hotel in Japan, with beautiful well maintained tatami floors. Separate toilet from bathroom. No breakfast is provided on site, but it is easy to find eateries around the area, as the hotel is located directly across from Tobu Nikko Station. Highly recommended
A mixed modern/traditional hotel very close to Tobu/JR Nikko station. for its price the facilities are good. There is an onsen/warm bath (men/women separate) so you could relax easily here. Breakfast is a basic buffet with enough choice, but self-service.
Hotel located at the top of a semi-steep driveway, close to numerous shrines/temples, bus stop to other regions at foot of driveway (meaning convenient access to Lake Chūzenji area).
About a 25min walk from Tobu-Nikko Station if bus is crowded and shuttle not booked (up hill incline, but not too difficult).
A little far from the supermarket and konbini, and main food area, but there are restaurants up there (early-ish close).
Private onsen available at reasonable price.
View from room when sunny was amazing!
Located ~800m from tobu-nikko station and tucked away just off main street, but not noisy at all. Cute, more traditional Japanese style home, however evidently old as per listing photos. Good and clean bathroom facilities. Reasonably roomy for 2 people and in comparison to some Japanese hotels/accommodation, however watch you head on the door frames if you're over 5'7"!
Hotel is just opposite the Nikko station, which is very convenient if you are visiting Utsunomiya or come from Utsunomiya. You can take the buses from this station too. It is about 3mins walk from Tobu Nikko station if you are taking a limited express train from Asakusa.
Good location close to both Nikko and Tobu-Nikko station. Tasty breakfast included, with Japanese (vegetable curry) as well as Western (toast) options. The hotel was quiet and safe. The room was somewhat small but not out of the ordinary for Japanese hotels. Probably would not be a great option if you are planning to spend most of your day in the accommodation, but since we spent most of the day out sightseeing and were only at the accommodation at night it was perfectly comfortable for what we needed.
The hotel is in a beautiful spot in the woods and is in reasonable walking distance from the Tobu Nikkō station. The space is old and a bit worn but charming and the staff is great. It's a hotel with a feeling of a hostel for older people as there is a lounge for watching TV where you can meet and chat with other visitors, and tables where they serve breakfast and dinner. The french toast is always delicious. This is our second visit and we will always stay there whenever we go back to Nikkō.
This is an excellent hotel walking distance to the shore of the lake. It is very clean and staff is kind, attentive and supportive. They offer a shuttle bus once per day from Nikko Station. There are three hot pools, one inside and two outside. Japanese style rooms are big and very cozy.
