Check-in process was simple, staff were friendly. We arrived earlier than our check-in time, and the staff kindly let us leave our baggage, then moved it to our room once it was available.

We loved the location. It was close to the station & convenience stores. Lots of great restaurant’s and ameyoko street right there. Also close to ueno park. It was perfect accommodation for our family. The staff are also all lovely.

Quiet old residential area . Family owned and run. Common area for making meals , shared fridge, heating up meals or just doing work or resting as the rooms are small but apparently bigger than others on tokyo. On a very common subway Yamanote line, nearest station Nippori is 10 min walk. Also has another station nearby. Big supermarket and family marts nearby. 1 min walk to laundromat. 5 min walk from nippori fabric shops. Less than half hour walk to Yanaka Ginza old shopping area

Loved the location - not immediately near a train station but a few mins walk. This gave an opportunity to wander around and you could make your way through the neighbourhood (which was so interesting, full of bars and little eateries!) so you could discover the area.
Clean and quiet. Never any issues with noise.
Room smaller than expected but this didn’t deter us.
Kids had their own beds and the kitchenette + laundry facilities were excellent.
Staff top notch - easily organised our luggage to be forwarded to Kyoto (so we didn’t have to drag on the Shinkansen). Complimentary coffee/tea/hot chocolate + coffee machine on the ground floor. Take what you need.
Wonderful view of the Tokyo skytree from our room which added to our holiday magic!
