We had a wonderful time at Ryokan Seifuso. The room and facilities were comfy and clean. The Japanese breakfast was delicious (both the vegetarian option as well as the regular). The kids enjoyed the western style breakfast.
The host were very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel location is rather central, Lawson, restaurants, Matsumoto Castle and Parco shopping mall are all within walking distance.
The room i got was surprisingly good size, no frills but very neat, tidy and clean. The Onsen bath is of adequate size, and one can enjoy a free ice pop after a relaxing hot dip.
The breakfast was east meet west kind of spread, decent variety of food selections, really delicious. Free coffee is available for all guest in the morning.
Affiliated parking at special rate is just across the road, very convenient for those who drive.
Overall a very enjoyable stay, thank you.

Excellent hotel with onsen. The hotel is located next to Matsumoto station, only 10 min walk. The staff was lovely and friendly. The room was cozy with a desk and all the necessities of life. The bed was very comfortable with orthopaedic mattress.
The hostel is really close to the Castle and it has a perfect location, not far from the Matsumoto Station neither from the main spot/café.

This is a very cosy small hostel located 20 min walk and 10 min bus ride from Matsumoto station. Matsumoto castle is a 5-10 min walk and there are many restaurants in the area. It is especially suitable for people who like to cook themselves. The kitchen is very clean and well-stocked with even a little toaster oven. The staff is super friendly and helped us call car rentals and restaurants when not speaking Japanese was an issue
