Sometimes you come across a gem. This is one, and such a pleasant surprise in every regard. Our room was a very luxurious, Japanese style bedroom on 7th floor overlooking the gorge. The dinner was truly wonderful and they managed to provide gluten free soy sauce (coeliac), despite not claiming to provide for individual allergies.
The most amazing buffet dinner & breakfast! Wow! Lovely setting, so convenient to the Kurobe Gorge Rail. Beautiful staff and good facilities. Special place.
This was a treat for us. We stayed one night to experience a traditional Japanese room, private onsen and the beauty of the Kurobe gorge. The hotel was beautiful, the staff so lovely and the views mind-blowing. You are right next to the train station too. Oh and the food *chefs kiss*
True Japanese style room, futons on tatami mats with traditional low table and floor seating for food. Also small conservatory attached, with another table and chairs, and french windows so you can walk out onto balcony to view the trains going into the Kurobe Gorge, the river, and the steeply wooded hillsides.
Lovely women’s only indoor Onsen, as well as an outside one. Privacy provided by bamboo screening and umbrella roof.
Shuttle bus to and from town/ railway station.
Brought “bento” breakfast to our room.
Walking distance to Kurobe Gorge Railway station and the train station. Spacious room with 2 toilets, 2 washbasins and a sitting area. Great buffet dinner and breakfast.
Great location on the banks of Kurobe River with views looking upstream at Shinyamabiko Bridge.
Fantastic onsen; male and female onsens are swapped each morning, a great way to enjoy different settings.
Simply awesome - that's the daily buffet breakfast and dinner, that also offers some dishes from Toyama region.
Short walk to Unazuki station for the train ride to Kurobe Gorge with its majestic views.
Beautiful public and private Onsen, amazing view from the Rotenburo in the public one. The room was large, well equipped and clean, staff was very friendly. The view from the riverside room, as well as from the lobby were beautiful, we could even watch the Kurobe Gorge Train passing the bridge from our room. There was a variety of free drinks to choose from in the lobby.
The dinner and breakfast buffets exceeded our expectations with a huge variety of delicious foods to choose from.
The Japanese style room that we booked was exceptional. There were 2 rooms and very spacious for 3 people. It had everything that we needed. What really surprised me was having 2 toilets in separate rooms. This was very convenient for large parties. Overall, the room was very well decorate and functional. The hotel is very close to the attractions and only 3 minutes walk from the Kurobe gorge train station. The breakfast and dinner buffets included were also of very good value and highly recommended. I had a pleasant time here.
a 2-minute walk from Kurobe-Unazukionsen station, 5 minutes from Unazuki Onsen station for the Kurobe Gorge railway. Room was super spacious and even though it said shared bathroom, there’s actually a full bathroom available and a separate toilet with a bidet. the resort is large with many things to occupy you (manga area, kids area, PC in common area) and the lobby area is huge too. onsen is nice and spacious with an open air section. the duvet was super fluffy
