The room was very comfortable and well designed. The Onsen was our highlight, we didn't even used the shower in our room.
The staff was super friendly, when we left our luggage at the hotel after check out, they hanged our wet clothes(after laudry) to dry while we were away!

The staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable with a desk and chair as well as big lounge chair. The breakfast and variety of coffee choice such as soy or oatmeal was great for me. The location is amazing- Kanazawa Castle entrance is less than five minutes away and then an easy walk to Kenrokuen Garden. The Samurai District is also an easy 15 minute walk away. I was at the hotel for 5 nights and could walk everywhere I needed.
Spacious, well located and quiet self catering hotel with very comfy beds. Loved having a washing machine and the bathroom had a clothes drying button so I could get all my clothes dried quickly as well. It was lovely to have the choice of cooking if I chose. The Hotel was in a wonderful street of enticing small shops, bakeries, cafes and restaurants. My highlight was walking to the Oyama Shrine with its serene garden and then into Kanazawa Castle garden and Kenroku-en Garden.
The location is excellent. Easy walk to many restaurants and attractions. Next to the historic Kanazawa castle and park. This is a very traditional Japanese hotel so the food choices for westerners may be limited. The staff are outstanding and the hotel is exceptionally clean. The onsen was wonderful.
Relatively large room, compared to many hotel rooms in Japan. The room is clean and quiet. The staff is helpful and helped us to forward our luggage to the next hotel at the end of our stay. Hotel is located very near Omicho Seafood Market and is within walking distance to the train station as well as to Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenrokuen Garden.
Good size room for Japan, great amenities and comfy pyjamas provided! Free drinks and snacks provided in the lobby at different times during the day which was a bonus. Walking distance to Kanazawa Castle and gardens. Kimono rental just 3 mins walk away, inside the New Grand Hotel, next to the Tourist Information Centre.
A fantastic breakfast that included both western and Japanese elements. A great coffee machine in the breakfast restaurant as well as included sparkling wine. A beautiful hotel with great staff. The coach that runs to the station and back every hour throughout the day is also a great help. The location for Kanazawa castle, the park and the world renowned gardens could not be better.

This was a great little hotel during our few days in Kanazawa. It’s right in the Highashi Chaya district, which is lovely to wander around, and not too long a walk from major tourist sites (Kanazawa Castle, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, and my favorite, Kenroku-en). The washer-dryer in the room worked great and was a nice bonus, and we appreciated the online guides to all of the room’s gadgets. We never figured out the tub, but loved it nonetheless! Breakfast was more western-style than Japanese, but still very good.
