Oh my word… exceptional property. What a find. A total feel on zen, relaxation and calm. Can’t rate this property high enough. Close to castle gardens, making it an easy visit to explore.

We were expecting a 2 star experience and got a 5 star personalised feel. The staff were so accomodating, helpful, genuinely kind and friendly. The location is right across the road from the Omicho Markets and a walk away from everywhere, the canals, geisha city, baths, shopping district, castle and Kenrokuen Gardens. The cafe bar downstairs was perfect for a short stop before heading up to bed or out for the day. We loved our robes! We were so taken by this little gem of a hotel and look forward to returning. We wish we had stayed longer in Kanazawa!

The hotel is modern and clean with a very calming atmosphere. It is located within easy walking distance of all main shops and attractions, right next to Omicho market. The onsen was nice for relaxing after a busy day exploring.

Once a Japanese army base and then a university campus, the castle park is accessed via the impressive Kahoku-mon Gate. Over the centuries, the castle burnt down several times but the structures have been rebuilt using the original methods and materials. The picturesque garden features a central pond, walking paths and charming footbridges.

Relatively large room, compared to many hotel rooms in Japan. The room is clean and quiet. The staff is helpful and helped us to forward our luggage to the next hotel at the end of our stay. Hotel is located very near Omicho Seafood Market and is within walking distance to the train station as well as to Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenrokuen Garden.

Charming hotel with fairly spacious rooms. Loved that it was situated close to shops and restaurants but was tucked away in a little lane so it was nice and quiet. Staff was really warm and friendly, always eager to help.

A fantastic breakfast that included both western and Japanese elements. A great coffee machine in the breakfast restaurant as well as included sparkling wine. A beautiful hotel with great staff. The coach that runs to the station and back every hour throughout the day is also a great help. The location for Kanazawa castle, the park and the world renowned gardens could not be better.

This was a great little hotel during our few days in Kanazawa. It’s right in the Highashi Chaya district, which is lovely to wander around, and not too long a walk from major tourist sites (Kanazawa Castle, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, and my favorite, Kenroku-en). The washer-dryer in the room worked great and was a nice bonus, and we appreciated the online guides to all of the room’s gadgets. We never figured out the tub, but loved it nonetheless! Breakfast was more western-style than Japanese, but still very good.
