I have booked this hotel just for the view, and I was not disappointed. Few of the staff members did speak English which is huge plus, I did ship my suitcases to different hotel and they helped me with all of this. You can buy day pass at the hotel which was amazing. Also huge plus was the fact that they do offer the lift to Kagoshima station and back.
Their breakfast is to die for. The location is super nice too the tram station is just next to the hotel.

This was a lovely hotel with a clean room that was a little bit larger than some Japanese city centre hotels in which I stayed. There was an en-suite bathroom, kettle and fridge, so everything one could possibly need. I could not believe how cheap it was considering the facilities provided.
There is a 7-11 store next door and it is about 10-15 minutes walk to the ferry terminal from which to catch a boat to the volcano. It is also less than five minutes walk from the tram stop that connects this part of town with the mainline railway station; the station itself is too far to walk but there are restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English.
I could not have wished for a better place in which to stay when visiting Kagoshima, which is a city well worth visiting

As soon as there was an issue, the staff came and helped. It was great to have adjoining interconnected rooms. There was adequate hanging space, a small refrigerator and a steamer to make your clothes less creased. There were washer/ dryer combination machines on the second floor, which required no detergent as it was added automatically. A large load cost 800 yen to was and dry. Coming out you will still need to air the clothes as they come out damp!

The hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the shinkansen Kagoshima station which is convenient. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel designer had some innovative ideas but unfortunately most of them didn't work in practice. See below for more detail.
The reception was fun and pretty unique. But besides that's its a regular but really solid hotels. The room was spacious, comfy beds and a TV of a really nice size. The location is pretty good as well. Even though it is in Tenmonkan, it is just outside the busy area. It is just a 1min walk to that part, and also really easy to reach from Kagoshima-chuo station. It's basically just a 15min walk, straight ahead. Although a taxi is a better option when you are with suitcases. About 1000 yen from Kagoshima Station.
Right around the corner from Kagoshima station, this was a really great stay. Great value for money, and a really comfortable room. The front desk staff were really nice. I would love to stay here again.
The location is excellent, being in a covered street right by Kagoshima Station. The beds were comfortable. There's also a coin laundry machine in the hotel, which was very practical.
The hotel is located a short walk from Central Kagoshima Station. The check-in process was really smooth and the staff was very helpful. What I really loved was the concept of a take-out breakfast. Some people complain that the breakfast area is small, but if you're in Kagoshima for sightseeing, chances are you leave early anyway. Grabbing a bento to make it in time for a train was a perfect option for me! In addition, it was very tasty!!
We stayed here one night before catching a ferry on to Yakushima - I wish we could have stayed longer as it's such a unique place! We loved the shared balcony for drinking a coffee in the morning looking out on the beach. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, and so nice to hear the sea at night. We caught a taxi from Kagoshima station but there were also bus stops close to the hotel.
The location just 5 minutes walk from the Kagoshima station and close by the ferry port to Sakurajima, supermarkets, restaurants and at 10 minute walk to the city centre.
Also, if you get a room facing Sakurajima (ours was not facing it, but in the next morning we had the chance to check out the views from one of our neighbours) the views are quite impressive.
