Definitely the private onsens! Each onsen has an unique theme, and friendly for couples, individuals, foreigners with tatoos, and family group. For 45 mins you can have your private onsen, all other customers were following this rule during our stay which was fantastic. The private onsens were really relaxing, and clean. Great facilities: Free ice-cream and drinks on the onsen floor. Paid Karaoke rooms. Manga reading room, massage chairs. The staff gave us 2 free noodles because of my birthday. Next to train station and bus stop, very convenient location.

    別府の夜景が素晴らしかった。 キングベッドで寛げた。 ウエルカム生ビールが非常に美味しかった。チェックアウトが12時なのでゆっくり過ごせる。

    Good value accommodation located in Kannawa Onsen, walking distance to the Jigoku and Hyotan Onsen. The manager didn't speak English, but did his best to communicate using a translator app. You can use the kitchen to make Jigoku Mushi (hot spring steam cooking) with your own ingredients. I stayed in a Japanese style room with futon and tatami mats. It was like living in a 1K apartment more than a hotel.

    Within walking distance to the Jigoku Meguri tour and the infamous Hyotan Onsen. There’s a lift for upper floors and it even has a kitchenette. The tatami floor is very nice. The futon is comfortable. It was a short stay but it was nice. My room even has a balcony. Retro bathroom with no bidet.

    The hotel has a great feel to it, modern and clean. The staff spoke English and were really helpful with suggestions on where to eat and to help us book a taxi. It was close walking distance to Hyotan Onsen who have great private onsens we enjoyed during our stay.

    We liked the location, close proximity to Hyotan onsen, and other onsen in Kannawa. Miho-san provided us with valuable information about the area and places to visit in Beppu. She provided us with some steam boiled eggs, which we didn't have any expectations. The place is cosy and clean with wallet friendly pricing. Highly recommend this place if you want to visit Beppu.
