The best hotel I’ve stayed at. It’s in a great location to either walk or hire a bike at the hotel to go for a sunset ride to sight see. It’s also easy enough to get to Kyoto Station. All the staff are so nice and accommodating they really go above and beyond to help you with any questions or concerns. I also went to the spa and it was fantastic.

It was the best hotel we stayed at in Kyoto. The location is super convenient, smack dab in the middle of the Kyoto and near to everything except the Kyoto railway station but I think that shouldn't be a deal breaker for most. The hotel amenities are so great and the staff were good too.

Same as photos. If you have seen it in a photo then you have seen it. Nothing else there that isn’t better or bigger or less crowds than here. Plus it’s so far out of the city and away from public transport it is inconvenient to travel to and the bus is always crowded. Prepare to walk a lot for little more than a photo

This temple might not be the Golden Temple, but it has is own beauty. The gardens are beautiful and you should take a solid hour, hour and a half to enjoy them properly. It's a quiet place where you can find hidden statues, spots and native animals.
Depending on the season, you'll get a different view of the garden and that itself is pure magic.
There are some local shops outside the temple that deserve a visit.
