My Lodge was a perfect stay for us to explore the island from. The view from our room and balcony was spectacular and the amenities in the room (coffee bags, toiletries etc) were superb. Staff were friendly and welcoming. It’s very close to the port, but up a super steep bendy hill so I’d recommend a taxi up from the port on your arrival, or the transit service with the bike hire place (you take a bike and leave your case and they deliver it to My Lodge). I highly recommend My Lodge.

A great, great plus: Free entry into a fantastic onsen 2 mins away. Spent every evening there, also with massages, massage chairs and a delicious Japanese restaurant. A great way to round up our art filled days on the islands and wind down. We absolutely loved it.

The place has good value for what you're paying, and despite its flaws it has some charm to it, it feels like you're staying in a modest traditional Japanese bedroom. It's conveniently located in Honmura near the Art House Projects and the Ando museum, although that side of the island has ferries running less frequently to and from Uno, compared to Miyanoura.
This was the last hotel available on the island but it turned out to be a very comfortable and hospitable stay for me. The hotel is near a lot of the Bennesee Art Site attractions and near the Honmura port area (Art Houses & Ando Museum). The availability of bicycles at the property was a lifesaver, as the e-bikes and regular bikes are usually booked up at all the bike rental places on the island. I would also recommend the Okonomiyaki Umikko restaurant nearby for the pleasant relaxed atmosphere.
Beautiful Japanese minka house made into a guest house. The guest house was very cozy and I enjoyed chatting with the other guests in the kitchen and living room. The house is just stunning and it was such a joy staying there in the heart of Honmura area. It is opposite Ando museum and Art House: Minamidera. I was also given a 100¥ discount on the café opposite.
The hosts also work at Cafe Salon Nakaoku which is another beautiful restaurant and a must-visit! Do make a reservation with the GH for dinner. :)
Everything was amazing. The house is a traditional Japanese house, very beautiful, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect. Very close to the Honmura port, a lot of restaurants, the Ando Museum and all the houses from the “Art House Project”. The street and all the area is beautiful. The owner is very kind and nice. She even left me a bag of donuts in front of my door as a goodbye present during my last night. That made me feel very happy. I will come back again! Thank you very much!
Location good for Ando Museum and Honmura sites. We were out most of the time so this simple stay worked for us and was also one of the last places we could find over end of year holidays.
The atmosphere is quite fantastic and the location is perfect for me because it is close to Ando Museum and other tourist spots I wanna visit. Also, the staff is friendly!
