I loved everything about this place! The room was super comfy and spotless, with brand-new furnishings. It had plenty of storage, a small fridge, and a water boiler, very convenient.
The breakfast was fresh, delicious, and had a great variety to suit different tastes.

Vatican Museums
The Vatican Museums are undoubtedly a must-visit. You’ll find these hallowed halls housed in the holy Vatican City. Perhaps that’s why the works here are of such a godly nature – expect true masterpieces (Ever heard of the Sistine Chapel?) and a beauty so supreme it can’t even be tainted by the crowds of trampling tourists.

Probably important to preface this with: I'm not an art person. But I thought we couldn't miss the masterpieces contained here. Turns out, we could have. We went during closing hours for "fewer crowds" but still the sistine chapel was an unpleasant experience. They really try to shove as many people as possible into the place and I was having none of it. Once you go through to the other side of the partition it's much more enjoyable as they won't be barking at you to shove in shove in. It was just not worth it for us, even with a guided tour so we knew what we were seeing.

I visited the Vatican Museum here, not the Vatican itself.
I visited the Vatican Museum here, not the Vatican itself.
The Museum has much incredible art, and I booked a walking tour. By the end of the tour (two hours later), I was understandably tired. Most of what I can remember consists of dusty, half-lit rooms, which didn't help. I was glad to get some fresh air.
Be aware that, being close to the Vatican and the Piazza S. Pietro, this neighbourhood is a magnet for junk sellers and scammers. Be extra careful here. The police will do nothing about them.

I've been several times before, but my husband had not, so we booked a group guided tour with Viator. I can say that the Catholic Church has RUINED the Vatican museum and the Sistine Chapel with their greed by shoving 25,000-45,000 people per DAY through there with very little time to see anything!! It was NEVER like this before and I'm appalled that it's become so disgustingly greedy to do this! Our tour started at 2:45 and it was SO crowded and SO rushed that we literally had 3 minutes in the Sistine Chapel, which is at the end of the tour, before the nasty guards literally turned all of the lights off and shoved us out the door!!! Can't miss your 5 pm espresso apparently!!! We were literally crowded shoulder to shoulder with others throughout a great deal of the museum and the chapel!!!

Book skip the line or a tour of the museums, Sistine Chapel and Basillica as one tour, if you book sistene chapel and basillica as a tour you do not have to wait in the huge security line for the Basillica (although it is free if you choose the latter) .

You have to go to the Sistene Chapel of course, but its not that great.
Other ceilings in Rome are just as impressive.

The room was perfect and positioned just a short walk from the Vatican museums and St Peter’s. It was welcoming and well equipped . The area around has a good range of restaurants and shops .
thank you very much, everything was perfect. the host was wonderful. good location, close to the Vatican museums, lots of restaurants around, and the best one next door is a cafe and restaurant.
Nice location, 5 min walking to Vatican museums, 25 min to Piazza Navona, 2 min to metro/bus. Relatively quiet street. A lot of restaurants and bars around. Good breakfast. Big room for 4 persons. Very clean.
The hotel was quite nice situated in the apartment building with a beautiful yard. The hotel manager was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the neighborhood - Prati - it is close to the Vatican museums and Castel Sant'Angelo. The breakfast was in the nearby cafe. Everything was amazing.
Beautiful apartment, comfortable, clean, big. We felt like we were at home. Right opposite Vatican museums entrance. Loved everything about it. We’ll be back.
The place is really cute and matches the pictures provided. Alessandro was very kind in his communication and provided us with all the details to make our stay even more comfortable. The location is excellent - very close to the metro station, close to Vatican museums & surrounded by nice restaurants and bars. Supermarket is also within 4 minutes on foot. But above all, Rome is magical and this place is situated in an area that is quite enough but also close enough to everything you want to see and explore.

You cannot avoid the crowd.
You cannot avoid the crowd. The best suggestion to visit Vatican museums and St Peter's is to take a guided tour. To visit the Colosseum, book your tickets in advance over the internet and skip the line. Other attractions are easy to visit.
