A lovely hotel. Possibly a little old fashioned or stuffy, but still a lovely place to spend time.
Very attentive staff. Breakfast lovely, if a bit over the top. Not sure I need ice cream for breakfast.
Our bathroom had a shower in the bath, which is always disappointing, but fits with the age of the place and we did not query it.
Our room did indeed have the advertised sea view, but it was over the roof of another hotel.
We did not have cause to use the rooftop bar, but it looked nice when we checked it out when closed.
There is a lift down to the beach club, which leads to a tunnel anyone familiar with German WW2 bunkers will appreciate, but it beats using the steps.

There were 6 adults in our group and we needed 4 double beds and were lucky and got 3 king size and a double. Everywhere was spotlessly clean throughout . Free parking inside the courtyard for our 9 seater minivan. Only €20 by taxi to Sorrento main square (Piazza Tasso) and you can get the number from Fortunata the owner of Casa Barone. When you want to return just go back to the taxi rank and give them the name and address.
Really pleasant surprise, we booked for location (10 minus walk to piazza tasso) and price but read some quite negative reviews, many mentioned breakfast. The breakfast was usual italian style with an additional menu offering omelettes etc. All staff friendly and helpful, room very clean, good size good condition. Friendly and cheap bar service at reception if required, even made my daughter cocktails. Good sized pool with coffee, beers etc available 930 - 1830

Decent room size. Location is reasonably central at the other end of Corso Italia from Piazza Tasso, closer to Marina Grande so good fort eating out. There's a small pool and separate sunbed area next to it which didn't get too crowded. Breakfast was pretty good, although a bit limited. Overall feel is chilled and relaxed.
We stayed in the Max 2 apartment. It was clean, modern, comfortable, and well-presented. The location could not have been better, with the front door only 20 feet or so from Piazza Tasso. The beach, port, and shopping streets are all very close by. Surprisingly, despite being in the centre of all this activity, we were never disturbed by noise. Silvana, the host, was incredibly attentive and informative, and gave lots of helpful suggestions to best enjoy the area. Overall, an excellent stay!
The Location of the stay is in Center of Sorrento! The hosts were so friendly and very welcoming! The ambiance at in the gardens were amazing! The Rooms were a little small if you are a family of four, but you have a whole garden to sit and enjoy. Piazza Tasso was in walking distance and you can enter the location from two streets! Amazing Location! Would Go Back Again!
