Beautiful property that felt like coming home. Beautiful traditional feel and the location was perfect for exploring the beautiful surrounds of Sienna.
We were also lucky enough to receive an upgrade and our stay was made even more special because of this.
Luigi and his family were super helpful and it’s somewhere where you’d love to go back to.

Breakfast was ample, plenty of choices, excellent fresh fruit. Location great, away from the noise of traffic and late-night revelers but close enough to walk no more than 15-20 minutes to restaurants and very convenient to major sites (Duomo, museums, ecc). Lovely garden, well-curated lending library.

A loveley hotel in the heart of Siena. Actually the only 5 star hotel in the city. Part of Starhotels Chain. Housed in a magnificent 16th-century palazzo, it stands just steps away from notable landmarks such as Piazza del Campo and the Duomo. Staff extremly professional and customer oriented. Our room at second floor had also amazing views over the old center of the city.
Hotel has elegant common spaces like breakfast and dinner saloons, lobbies, wine cellar and a beautiful Sala delle Feste (Hall of Festivities) at the first floor. This public elegant space is a showcase of the palazzo’s rich history, featuring original frescoes, intricate stucco work, and luxurious décor.
Rooms very clean, fully equipped with everything you might need and lots of complimentary stuff.
We had a wonderul king & queen treatment and really enjoyed our stay here.
Breakfast very good, with lots of options and high quality ingredients and dishes and elements to choose from. A truly outstanding 5 star experience

Piazza del Campo
Piazza del Campo is one of the biggest and most beautiful medieval squares in the world, so there’s no doubt every Siena visit needs to start here. Marking the centre of city life since the 1300s, it remains a bustling meeting point. Take in the strange, shell-like shape and get up close with the gorgeous fountain – you’ll find lovely views in every direction.

Piazza del Campo is a great place to sit and watch the world...
Piazza del Campo is a great place to sit and watch the world go by. It has a busy vibe at any time of the day, and the upper area is lined with places to sit and eat, drink coffee ,eat gelato or just soak up the atmosphere. The sloped piazza is home to the twice a year horse race, where riders representing the 9 neighbouring communes race each other on horseback around the piazza. The winners get bragging rights and while were visiting, they paraded through the town and around the piazza wearing fancy dress, singing and playing instruments. The torre del Mangia towers over the piazza, affording some much needed shade at certain points in the day.

Eating anywhere around the sides of the Piazza is okay,...
Eating anywhere around the sides of the Piazza is okay, mostly for people watching, getting off your feet and just taking it all in. But much better eating once you go exploring away from the Piazza.
BTW, if you want a similar piazza experience to Siena and its piazza, drive to Greve (yes, we had rented a car). Much smaller town, nice piazza with several places to eat and stores (not too touristy) of all kinds. We went there to eat and visit on the recommendation of a winery we just stopped in at while we were randomly driving through Tuscany (like driving through a postcard). Best recommendation anyone every gave us.

As a foreigner, I had never heard about not entering the city with my rental car. Got 4 tickets with a time frame of 20 minutes driving in and out twice of the city looking for my hôtel. By the time I received the tickets back home through the rental company, prices had doubled plus the rental fee. If course, tickets are in Italian, no other languages to help you pay the fees. Total scam!😡😡
Very nice and cozy apartment. Clean and comfortable. Located in the center of the city, just a 15-minute walk from Piazza del Campo. Also, there is a small supermarket just across the apartment, very convenient. Equipped with a fridge, kitchen, microwave, toster and a coffee machine. Amazing shower!
A really nice little hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The included breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options (gluten free as well) to choose from. The private parking is spacious, so it's easy to come by car. The hotel is located about 40 minutes from Piazza del Campo (old town) — it's a lovely walk, even though it may seem a bit far.
Great location - in the old city center behind the city walls, 10 min walk from Piazza del Campo. A very old building but the apartment is fully equipped and renewed. Very quiet. A real feel of a medieval building from the inside.
Excellent location, very close to the Duomo and Piazza del Campo, very good breakfast, clean. Free parking quite close to the hotel. We had beautiful view to the city and stadium. Staff was also very kind.
This is the apartment to stay in while in Siena. It's a wonderful 2-3 person flat, literally 5 minutes from Piazza del Campo, with the kindest hosts we've met recently.
The place has everything one needs for a prolonged stay.
Warmly recommended!
Amazing central location (5 mins from Piazza del Campo) and view from the room (we had a rear-facing room, #321, looking out towards the Duomo and Basilica - worth asking for rooms on this level and side). Wine tasting/tour of the hotel's C13 cellars was excellent - really informative and good VFM. Reception/concierge staff were brilliant.
Great traditional but well renovated apartment in a fantastic location close to quite close to Piazza del Campo.
Elevator in the house.
Beautiful view of Siena and Toscana landscape from the window.
Great location right in the city center. Very close to the main piazza del campo.
Very nice, helpful and reactive host.
Very big and nice apartment. Comfortable and quiet
Super helpful and friendly staff! Very communicative through messages and in person, they provided extra information about everything we needed. Hotel very close to Piazza del Campo. Beautiful entrance/reception.
Great location close to Piazza del Campo but still a quiet apartment in the highest floor of the building. Modern apartment with beatiful scenery and an efficient air-conditioning. House rules included good tips about parking in Siena.

Any walk through Siena's streets offers views on the city, pleasure to hang out and historical feeling. Try to go from one door to the Piazza del Campo slowly, then climb to the Cathedral so you can have a view of the surroundings before lunch.
