The staff were very helpful and the food was beautiful. Very nice for a break away from the city they have a shuttle you can book to bring you to and from the city which is very useful

Our visit to La Spezia included a day long trip on a ferry boat along coast and visit to several of the "5 towns", hence the hotel selection a bit out of the entertainment streets... but still a brief walk. The ferry boat tour was excellent.

Breakfast selection was quite good - pastries, cereals and yogurt, hot dishes, coffee, fruit, etc.
We were three people and the room had 3 beds which was what we requested.

The Poet is a very welcoming, fresh and modern hotel situated not too far from the train station. We checked in early and left our bags with reception. The room was large, with a nice comfy bed and all the facilities one would require. Only a short walk down into the town centre, so a great location for exploring La Spezia (which is an absolute gem).
Directly located on the sea, Hotel Della Baia is in Le Grazie bay, 4 km from Portovenere. It offers an outdoor pool and a restaurant serving à la carte menus of Mediterranean cuisine.

Beautiful location. Very quiet when we were there in high summer, not many tourists thankfully. The pool was great and the restaurant was excellent.
