This place is beautiful to see from above, but to be there...
This place is beautiful to see from above, but to be there is a nonsense as the beach has no sand and to enter the sea you need protective shoes for your feet and watch out for the sea urchin as the rocks are full of these...if you want to stay comfy you need to pay 40 euros for an umbrella and 2 sunbeds...and there are no public toilets

Absolutely nothing to see on the island of Isola Bella. Save your money, it's not worth it.
But, if you want to go for a swim, I would head down to the beach early as it gets very crowded. Also, don't forget your water shoes.

Very busy, even in September. Pretty but rocky beach. What made our visit was an amazing private boat trip with Pepe at Pizzichella restaurant on the quieter northern part of the beach. Such great fun!

Isola Bella is a beautiful sight however it is overcrowded. Stony beach. We had a bad experience as we wanted to have a drink at one of the beach resorts but the staff were so rude we left and never returned.

A lot of it is still under renovations. It’s a Victorian folly for those Brits who know what that is. An interesting wander but won’t take long.
The beach access is very busy, small beach area mostly private deck chairs and eating places. Lots of repeated beach hassle to get a massage.

Way overcrowded. Not really a vacation experience. The tour of the island itself is not worth it. It was maybe great 50-70 years ago but has nothing to offer now. Only the bottom half is open to the public.

The location of the hotel was very good. Near the nice beach of isola Bella and near to the stairs and the cabin up to the centre of Taormina. The breakfast had all that you need and excellent cappuchino. The staff were very helpful.
Very nice and clean hotel to stay at if you are visiting Taormina and want to stay by the sea. Walking distance to spisone beach, isola bella and taormina cableway (walk if u can, parking spots are very few in taormina). The hotel also have a nice pool area and the breakfast was great. Authentic old style Hotel, excellent condition. Staff and owners very pleasant and helpful. extremely centrally located, walk out the door to Main Street Corso Umberto in old town, close to restaurants, Pasticceria and gelato. Easy to park in main parking lot Lumbi. free shuttle bus to old town and just a short walk to hotel. Just a short walk to cable car which brings you to the beach and Isola Bella. beautiful dining room with excellent breakfast.
This was a one night stop. I'm already planning a return trip to Taormina but next time for a week or so and will absolutely stay at Hotel Isola Bella. Very convenient for the cable car. Lots of restaurants for all budgets within the local area.
Fantastic location overlooking Isola Bella with easy access across the causeway. Staff on reception and in the main dining room very friendly and food and wine excellent. Comfortable room and really appreciated the complimentary flip flops. Breakfast buffet with plenty of choice. Took a taxi up to Taormina town 20 euros not too bad then caught the cable car back down 6 euros each which is a quick 5 mins walk back to the hotel. Fantastic shops down the Corso Umberto and spectacular views!
The apartment was beautiful, very spacious and spotless. The balcony was really great with lovely seating and a fabulous view. The apartment was cleaned every day and fresh croissants delivered each morning which was a lovely touch. The location was perfect, easy access to the town using the cable cars and close to Isola Bella beach.
Taormina is lovely, the apartment was very close to Isola Bella which was great, it was 30/35 minutes to the old town by foot. We managed to find parking which was great but it was low season.
MF House is in a great location, super close to the main streets of Taormina, and close to the Funivia which will Take you to the beach & Isola Bella. The apartment was very clean and welcoming and our host was very gracious and helped us with any information we needed.
Great location and great views of Isola Bella - very close to the beach and has a minimart closeby for drinks etc. It's worth upgrading to a balcony because sitting there with some drinks and looking out onto the ocean was so relaxing and the best part of the hotel. They let us leave our luggage there when we checked out, too. Staff were friendly.
The apartment is modern and spacious with fantastic views over Isola Bella and across the sea towards mainland Italy. It also has a balcony with lounging chairs and also dining table and chairs. There is a pool with nice views towards the sea and sunbeds/chairs. Inside, the furnishing is modern and attractive. The location of the property has both positives and negatives - on the positive side, being halfway up the hill between Isola Bella and Taormina, it offers great views.
