This place is beautiful to see from above, but to be there...
This place is beautiful to see from above, but to be there is a nonsense as the beach has no sand and to enter the sea you need protective shoes for your feet and watch out for the sea urchin as the rocks are full of these...if you want to stay comfy you need to pay 40 euros for an umbrella and 2 sunbeds...and there are no public toilets

Absolutely nothing to see on the island of Isola Bella.
Absolutely nothing to see on the island of Isola Bella. Save your money, it's not worth it.
But, if you want to go for a swim, I would head down to the beach early as it gets very crowded. Also, don't forget your water shoes.

Very busy, even in September. Pretty but rocky beach.
Very busy, even in September. Pretty but rocky beach. What made our visit was an amazing private boat trip with Pepe at Pizzichella restaurant on the quieter northern part of the beach. Such great fun!

Isola Bella is a beautiful sight however it is overcrowded.
Isola Bella is a beautiful sight however it is overcrowded. Stony beach. We had a bad experience as we wanted to have a drink at one of the beach resorts but the staff were so rude we left and never returned.

A lot of it is still under renovations.
A lot of it is still under renovations. It’s a Victorian folly for those Brits who know what that is. An interesting wander but won’t take long.
The beach access is very busy, small beach area mostly private deck chairs and eating places. Lots of repeated beach hassle to get a massage.

Way overcrowded. Not really a vacation experience.
Way overcrowded. Not really a vacation experience. The tour of the island itself is not worth it. It was maybe great 50-70 years ago but has nothing to offer now. Only the bottom half is open to the public.

The location was excellent. Both Mazzaro and Isola Bella beaches were just a 10-minute walk away, making it very convenient for beach lovers. The cable car was also only 5 minutes from the hotel, providing easy access to Taormina city center. Inside, the hotel was very clean, and the staff were extremely hospitable and welcoming. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to budget-friendly stay in the area.
The location of La Casa Di Andrea was excellent. Corsa Umberto, the town centre with it's bars and restaurants, and the Amphitheatre are all just a few minutes walk from the apartment, as is the cable car to Isola Bella. There is also a supermarket a couple of minutes down the road. The apartment has all the basics and everything works. there is a decent sized balcony with outdoor furniture which gets the sun in the early morning (you can watch the sunrise over the sea).
The apartment is modern and spacious with fantastic views over Isola Bella and across the sea towards mainland Italy. It also has a balcony with lounging chairs and also dining table and chairs. There is a pool with nice views towards the sea and sunbeds/chairs. Inside, the furnishing is modern and attractive. The location of the property has both positives and negatives - on the positive side, being halfway up the hill between Isola Bella and Taormina, it offers great views.
Amazing hotel next to the ruins. Location is perfect. Not in the centre of the town so not noisy during the day and evening. The hotel has large grounds so you don't feel too cramped. Lots of places for walks and privacy.
There is a free shuttle down to the other Belmond on the beach which runs every 30mins until late which is amazing. There is also a complimentary cruise around Isola Bella. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. Gym and pool were great also
Location is amazing. Rooms are clean and the hotel has a nice authentic vibe. You feel an absolute calm when you are sitting on the rooftop but you are seconds away from the busy center. The cable cart stops near the hotel and leads you to isola bella within minuts. The car park is nearby and the staff was helpful. Added bonus, Balou the dog is the cutest thing ever.
The most stunning views a short walk away from the heart of Taormina with all the amazing restaurants, bars and shops. The hotel was beautiful, lovely swimming pool and breakfast was great! Parking on site €20 for 24 hours. The hotel is situated on the same road as the cable car which for €10 return will take you down to the beaches and Isola Bella. Would definitely recommend.
The view of Isola Bella was outstanding and we could watch the scene unfolding with people and vessels unfolding all day and into twilight for a relaxing stay in a lovely apartment.
Very friendly staff, easy to check in and 24 hour reception. Lovely pool area. Very clean and in a good location - buses to Taormina run from outside the hotel quite frequently, there is a footpath uphill but in summer I don’t think this is doable. Lovely little beach opposite and you can get the bus to Mazzarò / Isola Bella. 5 minute walk to train station.
