The Bank hotel (Dependance) is an hotel associated to the Locanda Della Posta hotel, a well know institution dating from 1786 that counted numerous famous characters in between its guests. Both buildings are located on Corso Vannucci being the Bank hotel in a building that used to be a bank.
The registration for the Bank hotel must be done at the Locanda where you also will have your breakfast in a really nice room (the breakfast is very good).
Regarding the Bank hotel, after crossing an imposing door you access an area -with a couch and some potted plants- that does not have a reception. After this "lobby" you find a long corridor (with its walls/ceiling covered with a cloth) that leads to a brand new elevator. After leaving this rather alarming area (you start to guess what sort of lodging you are getting into) and a short elevator ride you arrive to the floor (2nd or 4rd) where the rooms are located and everything changes.
After stepping out the elevator, you access a corridor with walls covered in marble and artwork. After crossing the entrance door to your room you find a modern and well appointed spacious room with the usual "trimmings" you expect in a good hotel such as nice sheets, an excellent mattress, soft towels, a large bathroom, abundant hot water and views over Corso Vannucci. Our room was very quiet, with AC, a safe and an small frigobar. Main attractions are located very near the hotel as well as coffee places, restaurants and shopping areas. In short, if you do not mind the Bank hotel entrance and walking across the street for breakfast you can not go wrong with this hotel.

The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help and respond to queries. Even helped when I had laptop connectivity problems. The available breakfast was good value. The hotel is in the old town of Perugia, and conveniently located to all the cafes and points of interest. The town is accessed via the Mini-Metro. Look for the elevator when getting off the Mini-Metro. It is not immediately obvious.

Posizione strategica. Camera ampia e con tutti i confort.
Location and facilities as described. Everything is at walking distance (2 minutes to the school my son was attending for Berklee summer camp during Umbria Jazz; in the heart of Borgo XX Giugno, bars, restaurants, supermarket, free parking just outside the door or a few minutes walk; walk to arena Santa Giuliana in less than 15 minutes, same for Corso Vannucci). Owners very nice, friendly and helpful. We felt at home and we will go back.
The apartment is very spacious and comfortable for 2 people. It is tastefully finished, with nice furniture (no Ikea!). It has a balcony directly overlooking Corso Vannucci - we absolutely loved it and spent a lot of time on it! The kitchen is equipped with all necessities. Plus the host, Susanna, was very nice - she spoke English and showed us the apartment at the beginning and gave us recommendations about the local restaurants ;-) Grazie bene!
