I want to thank Mr Paulo and all the staff for the wonderful reception and stay. The team was without a doubt exceptional and made our stay worthwhile. We booked for the annex building, however we got an upgrade to the main building. As we had a long delay in the flight, they called us to check if everything was ok and to indicate where they would leave the room key and to inform us of the upgrade they made and which we really appreciated. We stayed in a room with a balcony, with two floors, one double bed and two single beds. The bathroom is spacious and the bed was comfortable. The balcony also has a table, chairs and sun loungers. Breakfast was very good, with homemade products, as was dinner. The dinner included a salad buffet and a 3 course menu, 2 starters and 1 main course , of choice. As I am a vegetarian they made the adjustments possible to accommodate my requests. On the last day they even left us a note on the breakfast table to thank us for our stay. As we were in town for the OCR European Championship and we were leaving in the afternoon, they let us keep the room until later so we could shower before continuing our trip, we left at 2pm without a problem. There is a car park very close by, as well as a bakery and supermarket. The staff are really helpful and make the hotel even more pleasant. The area is beautiful and we want to come back in winter. Extremely forthcoming staff, great breakfast, incredible wellness-spa area, great facilities for children. The stay at Shandranj was unforgettable and it surpassed our expectations. The location is perfect for nature lovers and anybody seeking a quiet and restoring retreat. The towns Tesero, Cavalese, Predazzo and Pampeago nearby are a far cry from the often too idyllic and touristic towns in the Fassa valley, but they easily outcompete them in terms of authenticity, historical landmarks and real value for money.

Our room was in a traditional house that had been in the family for 200 years. Being a family home meant the hospitality was first class. The room was large and comfortable . The house is situated in an alpine pasture area with great walks in the area , as well as the Bletterbach gorge. The breakfast was excellent and you can order homemade dinner if you like. Highly recommended!
