the staff were fantastic in all areas of the hotel. The hotel in general exceeded our expectations whether it was the games and books in common areas to the exceptional food in the restaurant. The hotel is also a close walk to the black sand beach with a short 10/15 min walk. One of the best hotel finds on our trip with the staff looking after our little 2 year old Austen like family :)

Location was good. Staff were friendly & helpful.
Breakfast was OK, nothing special but certainly what you need. The location of the breakfast room was not that nice though, it was in a sort of attic of the hotel and was not very cozy or welcoming.

Very good location - nearby Skogafoss, Kvernufoss and Seljalandsfoss. Good road to property, suitable for small car. Very friendly owner. Amazing views of mountains from the yard. Got homemade pancakes for breakfast :)
Short drive to Seljavallalaug natural hotspring Swimming Pool. Great kitchen to prepare your meals.
We were travelling late and the owners were really flexible. Freshly baked traditional thick pancakes (lummur) in the morning and good coffee. Great location, just off the highway and good base for Seljavallalaug, Skógarfoss and Seljalandsfoss.
