It is a nice hike.
It is a nice hike. Gives peace to soul that you will get Mata ke darshan. But once you up there, the security/ police/ army so rude. Not helpful and understanding. Don't give proper instructions and then kick you out of line. VIP is the only channel. You pay money and get treated well. Otherwise you like a any low class get pushed. Plus they rush you through the darshan.

For those who don't want Horses and Crowd in your path to...
For those who don't want Horses and Crowd in your path to the Vaishno devi's darshan, use new Tarakote Marg. very calm and peaceful. But for your kid's pram, you need to arrange one by going to the Banganga entry point first and then hire a pithoo with stroller and take him with you to Tarakote checkpost.

We stayed there for our Vaishno Devi Yatra, Hotel is located at walking distance from Katra Railway Station, rooms are clean, spacious and very nice, overall very nice experience.
The location was nice.Wifi was available.They provided us vehicle for going upto Banganga on the date of our darshan to vaishno devi shrine.Staff was polite & helpful.Prices of stay and cleanliness was good.Hot water was available for bath.
Everything was awesome.
Just a tip for the management: Please provide more food options (Indian) later at night because vaishno Devi yatra runs 24*7 and pilgrims come back from yatra at night also.

Great location. Walkable to th market areas, but far enough away to be less noisy. Brand new hotel with much better amenities than all other hotels in the area. Great customer service helping us to figure out helicopter transportation to Vaishno Devi for our sick mother who came to India mostly to visit the shrine.
Stay was amazing. The property is very much accessible in terms of market, location, transportation and to start the trek for Maa Vaishno Devi Darshan.

The hotel location was very good. The room was neat and clean. The toilets were also clean and we had hot water available throughout the day. The management and staff were very friendly and guided us around the place. They have a full fledged restaurant that serves decent food. It is walking distance to the bus stop where yatris register for Maa Vaishno Devi Yatra. It is also very close to Katra Railway station
we were stayed only for one day. we had went vaishno devi temple early in the morning so we couldn't take breakfast in hotel so i don't have any idea about breakfast but location was perfect.
Location is good, very near vaishno devi temple, and well connected to other top visiting places in Jammu. The reception boys were helpful, one guy even arranged laundry at cheap price.
