We were very unlucky with the weather.
We were very unlucky with the weather. Good to note that you need to get there at the crack of dawn to be able to have a good viewing spot since the place will be packed with hundreds of people hoping to spot the Himalayan range.
the mornings are relatively chilly, so pack some wind proof clothes and maybe a warm drink in a thermos. Otherwise you can also buy some chai from the local vendors at the viewing platform.

Very average sunrise amidst all the haze and cloud cover. Have seen better sunrises close to home! The crowd (in spite of the covid situation) were just too much and there was hardly any facilities for the entrance fee they charge! Not even a proper parking arrangement resulting in a traffic chaos!

Don't leave at 4 am.
Don't leave at 4 am. You ll spoil your whole day for short of sleep plus you won't find the sunrise worth the pain of bearing the cold waves on the hill top. I reached there early at 4 15 am with two kids and felt it wasn't needed at all. The view at 8 am was much better.

over rated. badly over rated. they make me wake up at 3 am at morning and we got out at 3:45. what i saw was beautiful but from any where in Darjeeling you can see this same thing. i was in hotel ramada with a kanchenjunga view and the next day i saw the same view which i saw from tiger hill !! and even see the same thing from all over darjeeling.

Our Stay at Tiger Hills Homestay was Awesome. On our Arrival the owner herself welcomed us and took care of all our needs. She also arranged transportation for sightseeing and everything. Food was also great.

The owner's name was Santosh. He was very nice and even provided his own vehicle to roam around all the tourist places in Darjeeling. He even woke up at 3 in the morning to show us Tiger Hill sunrise which was so mesmerizing and dropped us till the airport the same day.
The location, the actual buildings and rooms. The kitchen staff, especially the females, were lovely to.talk to, smiled all the time, and got to know what drink we liked.One if the receptionist arranged for her brother to take us to Tiger Hill and Bagdogra airport at a reasonable price. She also was very kind to ask if there was anything she could do when I was very sick one of the days there.
Located at the heart of the city barely 100 meters from mall road. It is run by a jovial aunty ji. We had to go to see tiger hill at 3 AM in the morning and we were served an awesome breakfast before that. You can also have a kitchen for yourself as it is a homestay. Overall a very pleasant stay for family.
The facility and the service. The best part it's near the Darjeeling best spots which is Tiger hills, Mall road and Batasia Loop.
The owner is really a nice person who helps a lot for everything whenever you need.

Service was above and beyond and we were made to feel so welcome and at home. We were assisted with booking a taxi up to the nearby Tiger Hill and the owner even got up at 3am to see us off.
The rooms were spacious and very comfortable and clean, having everything you need.
Plenty to see in the nearby area and Darjeeling is only a short drive away.
The chef made us a delicious meal in the evening and we also had the best Darjeeling tea here!
I chose this location because I wanted to go to tiger hill, if you feel adventurous you can even walk there (50 mins walk uphill some parts). Overall is a great place, the attention given to me was very good.
They really care about their guests. Nicely maintained property. Close by malle road. Point to highlight here, you can see beautiful kanchangangha from the hotel itself. You don't need to go to Tiger Hills if you are staying here. Breakfast was also really good and I also ordered dinner from the hotel, food was really good and tasty.
