Very nice stay at Trident Agra. Nice property, fantastic breakfast, very attentive staff, especially at the restaurant. Added value - the hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the metro line. Though the metro line is short as of now, it brings you at to the entrance of the 2 most important points of interest in Agra - the Taj Mahal and the Agra fort. The pool and the green are lovely and the evening activities for the kids is a nice bonus.

What is there for me to write about Taj - sung by poets over centuries, reasearched by Historians and No.1 tourism site in India. I do have some tips - (1) Do not miss Taj at Night during Full moon (only 3-4 days around full moon time this is permitted to limited no of pre-booked visitors. The annual calendar & permit days are available in ASI website. Also, plan to visit during non-foggy months for one too see TAJ in its full glory. As no photograhphy is allowed, it has to be stored in memory and recalled for life; it is worth it and seen to be believed / experienced. (2) Visit TAJ at least 4 times - early morning at Sunrise; Sunset; normal daylight; and, Moonlight. (3) Stay as close as possible to the TAJ for easy & quick reach.

Avoid locals who say they are not guides but work there and try to speed you around and take photos for you with your camera, They are a Pain and demand a payment/tip for taking mediocre if not poor photos and will spoil your enjoyment of the place. Similarly you really want to experience the whole atmosphere and ambience of this place so paying a guide to “rush” you round is not a great move.

I strongly suggest to wake up very early and to go there at opening time (just before sunrise) so that the temperature is good, it is not crowded and the colors of the sky make this monument even more fascinating. There's not too much to say about the Taj Mahal, one of the 7 wonders of the world. I think it should be seen in person at least once in a lifetime.
Inside it is nothing special and there are fake guides that tell you some information for money

close your eyes and block your nose until you are inside the walls of the taj mahal as the outer areas are filthy dirty with dirty monkeys and unkept people everywhere, it's filthy dirty ,it is shameful in this day and age.
it is such a shame as the taj mahal is one if the seven wonders of the world

Go early!
Go early! I arrived at 5am to queue, I was pretty much the first person in there when it opened at 5.30 it was amazing and beautiful and peaceful. By 6.30am it was already getting crowded and by 8 it was very very busy. I was so glad I listened to my hotel and went early.

Book your ticket online a day prior and take a morning slot. It gets very crowded and hot later in the day. It is usually open on all days except Fridays. Also, if your dates coincide within 2 days of the full moon, you can make a special booking to view the Taj Mahal in the moonlight. But this booking has to be done a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

The hotel is stunning! Beautifully modern whilst lending itself to Indian heritage. We had a delicious dinner overlooking the Taj Mahal, and our waiter truly went above and beyond. Would highly recommend this hotel
Beautiful villa just 5 min walk from the Taj Mahal. Had a lovely bedroom and bathroom. Like a 5 star hotel . The villa has a nice rooftop terrace with viewing platform and you see the Palace . Nice to chill in the evening.
We all had breakfast together and the host is serving tasty Indian breakfast dishes
I arrived in the afternoon and my Host booked a tour to the Agra Fort then took us to a nice restaurant. In the morning I had a sunrise Taj Mahal tour arrange by my host

We loved the room. It offered a safe space for us during the stay in Agra. The staff was very nice and we enjoyed talking to them, especially to the guy in charge who was very knowledgable. The breakfast and dinner were both very good and both in all you can it style. So the prices are justified. We also liked the transparency of the place. As tuorists who have only been in India for a few days, we found this very comforting. The hotel is in walking distance from the Taj mahal. It has a very nice terrace.
Great location approximately 500 meters from the Taj Mahal. As with our other hotel experiences is India, the staff were very good, the place clean and overall a great experience, Unfortunately, due to rain we didn't get to experience the rooftop area which offers a great view of the Taj Mahal.

I stayed at Taj Street Hostel for one night. It made my Indian trip so much better. The staff was extremely helpful. They brought me to the market to get my phone fixed! I cannot express my gratitude towards them! The Hostal was so worth for money. Very close to Taj Mahal (10mins walk). Very convenient - many shops and food around. Very clean. The Hostal owner put in many effort in maintaining it! A/C is always on. Thank you so much for the experience:)
This is a hostel vibe accomodation but offers all the quality from hotels. Big rooms, AC, clean and great services.
People working there were extremely nice. Location was excellent, 5 min walking from Taj Mahal. Rooftop terrace was so pleasant and lovely ( a bit hot as we went during heat period but we loved it).

The best hostel in which I’have been in India. The staff is super, you can pass good nights with them drinking something, playing and watching movies. The location is just 15 minutes walking from Taj Mahal and they give you information about any place you want to visit. Super reccomended!
